Theodore "Ted" C. Stubbe

WINSLOW - Theodore "Ted" C. Stubbe, age 85, passed in to heaven at his daughter's home surrounded by his family on Thursday December 18, 2014. He was born on January 2, 1929 in Winslow, IL to Carl and Evelyn (Jonas) Stubbe. Ted married his high school sweetheart Bonnie Jordan on March 14, 1948. Ted and Bonnie established their home and farm near Winslow where they worked together and raised their family. Later on they moved to Winslow, but continued farming the farm where he was raised until retiring. He was a Winslow volunteer fireman, Le-Win school board member for two terms, served on the Rock Lily Cemetery Board for several years, and member of Masonic Lodge for many years. He was a member of the McConnell United Methodist Church. He enjoyed pitching horse shoes, bowling, playing cards, fishing and hunting, but most of all his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ted is survived by his wife Bonnie; his son Carlo (Linda) Stubbe of Savanna and daughter Suzanne (Don) Rudisill of Red Oak; grandchildren- Christopher Stubbe of Rock Grove, Heidi (LeWayne) Moore of McConnell and Brandon (Erin) Rudisill of Winslow; one great grandson Zachary Maaske and three great granddaughters - Ashley Maaske, Toni Stubbe, and Lila Rudisill; two step great grandsons Brandon and Justin Moore and also four step great granddaughters Stephanie, Tiffany, Mandi and Emily. One sister Monna Shippy of Orangeville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law, and two grandsons.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday December 22, 2014 at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday December 23, 2014 at the McConnell United Methodist Church.

Interment will take place at Rock Lily Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for Monroe Hospice and Rock Lily Cemetery.

Luncheon will be held at the McConnell United Methodist Church following the committal service.
