Theodore P. Bergum, age 74, of rural Monticello, died on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Monroe Manor. He was born on December 30, 1942 in Benton, WI; the son of Ervin and Cecelia (Dunn) Bergum. Theodore was a 1960 graduate of Albany High School.

Theodore and Beatrice Patchen were united in marriage on August 24, 1963 in Denver Colorado.

Theodore served in the U.S. Air Force from 1963-1964; after he was discharged he served in the National Guard for an additional 6 years. He belonged to the Sons of Norway.

He enjoyed road trips, sightseeing and Tractor and Truck Pulls.

Theodore was a dairy farmer and later was a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Beatrice, of Monticello, son, Jeffrey (Brenda) Bergum of Monroe, and 1 granddaughter, Bobbi Jo Bergum; brothers, Timothy (Barbara) Bergum of Edgerton, Richard (Barbara) Bergum of LaFarge, sisters-in-law; Shirley Bergum of Barneveld, and Kay Bergum of Monroe.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, John and William Bergum.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in South Wayne with Pastor Dennis Perger officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 26th, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE FUNERAL HOME 1455 Mansion Drive and 18th Ave., in Monroe.
