Theodore G. "Ted" Huebner

Theodore G. "Ted" Huebner age 79 of Monroe, Wisconsin, died Sunday, July 17, 2011 at his home. He was born June 20, 1932 in Villa Crespo, Argentina, the son of Rev. Gerhard and Ruth (Tegeler) Huebner. He graduated from Portage High School in 1950, attended Madison Business College, and attended St. Mary's Hospital School of Radiologic Technology in Wausau, WI. Ted served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 to 1956, where he was attached with the 13th Reconnaissance Group in Korea.

Theodore married Phyllis Pfuehler on August 15, 1954 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Portage. He was an X-Ray Technician at Algoma, WI, St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, WI and then was the Administrative Technologist in the Radiology Department at St. Clare Hospital in Monroe. He later went into sales of X-Ray Film from 1973 until retiring in 1994. Ted was a member of Jordan Lutheran Church where he served as a Deacon on the Church Council, a choir member, and involved in the Church men's group. He was also a member of Zilmer Riley American Legion Post #84 of Monroe, Cecil Jones VFW Post #2312 of Monroe, and Wisconsin Society Radiologic Technologists. He enjoyed yard work, gardening, golfing, and especially his rose bushes.

Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Huebner of Monroe, WI; daughters, Patricia Huebner of Lawrence, KS & Diane (Michael) Ethridge of La Crescent, MN; grandchildren, Aaron & Adam Ethridge and Sandra Differding; brother, Donald (Doris) Huebner of Colorado Springs, CO; sisters, Elena Underwager of Arvada, CO, Loida Stewart of Tucson, AZ, & Elizabeth (Robert) Gerhardt of Wilsonville, OR; and sister-in-law, Margarete Huebner of Colorado Springs, CO. He is predeceased by his parents and brother, Robert Huebner.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 22, 2011 at Jordan Lutheran Church rural Browntown, WI with Pastor Dennis Perger officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Drive & 18th Avenue in Monroe.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jordan Lutheran Church or Bethesda Lutheran Communities in Watertown, WI in Theodore's memory.
