Terese Louise Burke, age 91 of the Hollandale and Blanchardville area died on Sunday morning, October 22, 2017 at the New Glarus Home. She was born on January 8, 1926 to Frank and Lenore (Durkin) Regan. Terese attended Hollandale Schools and graduated from the Hollandale High School in 1943. On June 19, 1946 she was united in marriage to Charles Thomas Burke. Terese and Charles had a career in the cattle business. They lived in Marengo Illinois and Tupelo Mississippi. They returned to Hollandale to farm in 1954. Terese and Charles then moved to a new farm in the Blanchardville area in 1986. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Blanchardville, WI. Terese was a loving wife and mother. She was devoted to her family and faith. Terese was known to make a wonderful meal on a minute's notice. She loved being the wife of a farmer.

Terese is survived by her two children, Barbara (Jeff) McArdle of Monroe, and Mark (Pam) Burke of Blanchardville, five grandchildren, Rebecca (Cory) Ganshert, Mitchell and Kristin McArdle, and Ben and Katie Burke; a sister Marguerite Bernards of Madison; sister-in-law Mary Burke of Mineral Point; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, her parents, and her sister Mary Spellman. We will miss you and love you forever!

A visitation for Terese Burke will be held on Wednesday evening, October 25, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at Blanchard Hall at 206 South Main Street in Blanchardville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 304 Meadow Street in Blanchardville. Fr. Mick Moon will officiate.
