Sue E. Hauser, age 58 of Monroe, died on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at U.W. Hospital surrounded by her family and close friends. Sue was born on November 16, 1958 in Monroe, the daughter of Leon and Jean (Goakey) Brunner. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1973, graduated from Monroe High School in 1976, and married David Hauser on October 30, 1976 in Monroe. Sue most recently worked as an office manager for Scott and Kris Oudinot. The most important work in her life was her participation in the door to door ministry which she did her whole life and was able to devote 10 years to that work full time. Sue was known as a hospitable and generous person who loved to cook and along with her husband often opened their home to others. She was extremely proud of the work her children are doing and enjoyed visiting them in their assignments. She cherished her hope of living again on a paradise earth.

She is survived by her husband, David Hauser of Monroe; a son, Joshua (Ana) Hauser of Beckley, West Virginia; a daughter, Lisa (Brad) Bourquin of South Africa; her father, Leon Brunner; two brothers, Fred (Cheryl) Brunner and Rick (Angie) Brunner, all of Monroe; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean, in 2005.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at 3:00 p.m., at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Robert Haesler officiating. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe, at a later date. Visitation will be at The Kingdom Hall on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
