Stanley J. "Stan" Neuberger

Stanley J. "Stan" Neuberger, age 86, of Monroe, Wisconsin died on Friday, April 1, 2011 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. He was born at Reeseville, WI August 12, 1924 the son of William and Evelyn (Indermuehle) Neuberger. Stan and Lorraine Ottow were married on October 12, 1946 in Reeseville. He worked at WCLO in Janesville, WBEL in Beloit and then at WEKZ in Monroe where he was a part owner of Green County Broadcasting Co. for many years. Stan was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Brodhead, former member of the Monroe City Band, Monroe City Council and city alderman, Senior Citizen of the Year in 1990, and Stan was co-parade marshal for the 2010 Cheese Days Parade.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Neuberger of Monroe; sons, Steve (Susan Jo) Neuberger of Menomonee Falls, Tim (Gayle) Neuberger of Janesville; Vicki Neuberger of Monroe; grandchildren, Bryan (Aniela) Neuberger, Wendy (Kurt) Kuschel, Sean Neuberger, Kelli (Mike) Stade, Keith Neuberger and great grandchild, Trystan Neuberger. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Brodhead, with Rev. Marcus Neumann officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the Church. A memorial fund is being established in Stan's memory. The Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home is serving the family.
