Stanley A. Aleksandrowicz, age 96, of New Glarus, died Friday, June 17, 2011 at the New Glarus Home.

Stanley was born on July 20, 1914 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, the son of Joseph and Mary (Kowakik) Aleksandrowicz. He married Frances Kott on September 9, 1939 in Milwaukee. The couple lived all their married lives in Milwaukee until moving to Monticello in 2004.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who was an avid gardener, fisherman, and golfer in his younger years.

He is survived by five children, Eileen (Bill) Barwig of Greenfield, WI, Pat (George) Sellon of Monticello, Alan (Laurie) Aleksandrowicz of Franklin, WI, Amy Gifford of Greenfield, and Dan (Lonne) Aleksandrowicz of Milwaukee; 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances, in 2005; a brother, John; and a sister, Marie Watson.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at the New Glarus Home Chapel with Father Kenneth Klink officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. A memorial fund will be established in Stanley's name. The Voegeli-Newcomer Funeral Home, Monticello, is assisting the family.
