Sharon K. (Ross) Luy, 70, formerly of Milton, WI died Wednesday October 20, 2010 at her daughter's home. Born August 15, 1940 she was the daughter of Ellen Gustafson and Gilbert Ross. Sharon was a 1958 graduate of Dakota High School and later cooked for St. Francis in Freeport. On June 14, 1958 she and William "Bill" Luy were united in marriage, he preceded her in death on April 8, 1998. She was a member of Women of the Moose.

Surviving are her mother Ellen of Freeport; two daughters Julie Applegate of Freeport, Jenel (John) Zimmerman of Freeport; two sons Joseph (Sherry) Luy of Freeport, Jack (Cindy) Luy of Cedarville; two sisters Jan (William) Hoefle of Dakota, Patty Lou Gilbertson of Wisconsin; two brothers Leroy (Pat) Ross of Rockford, Roger (Sally) Ross of Polo; 8 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren and Phillip Becker "who I have been with for seven years, he is my guardian angel and soul mate who made my life complete."

She is preceded in death by her father, husband, son-in-law Dale Applegate, brother-in-law Alvin Gilbertson, grandson Jared Luy and step great granddaughter Alicia Zerate. Visitation will be 4pm until 7pm Sunday October 24, 2010 at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home Dakota. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Monday October 25, 2010 at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home with Reverend Lyle Babcock officiating. Burial will be in the Dakota Cemetery.
