Scot A. Luchsinger, age 36 of Monticello, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at U.W. Hospital in Madison after his courageous battle with an extended illness.
Scot was born March 30, 1971, the son of Nancy Luchsinger (Monticello) and Allen Luchsinger (New Glarus).
Scot attended Monticello Public Schools. Following school, he worked with his father farming and in construction. Later, he was employed by Iroquois Foundry for 13 years. Scot was an avid Dale Earnhardt, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and San Francisco 49er fan. He also enjoyed collecting coins, currency, knives, and collector plates.
Throughout his life, Scot also enjoyed hunting, fishing, card playing, billiards, gambling, partying with friends, and spending many hours with the Hawthorn Pulling Team.
He is survived by his mother, Nancy Luchsinger of Monticello; father, Allen Luchsinger of New Glarus; two sisters, Barbara (Gary) Blum of Poynette and Susan Luchsinger of Monticello; a brother, David Luchsinger of Monticello; and a nephew, Austin Luchsinger of Monticello. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Scot's last 2 1/2 years of his life were comforted by the presence of his precious nephew, Austin.
Scot will be sadly missed by all.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2008, at Washington Reformation United Church of Christ, Monticello, with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 21, at the VOEGELI-NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monticello.
A memorial fund will be established in Scot's name.
