Rolland Earl Steindorf, age 92, of Oregon, formerly of Albany, died on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 in Oregon, WI.

He was born on May 7, 1921 the son of Frank and Elizabeth (Streek) Steindorf in Albany, WI.

Rolland and Marvel Smith were married March 3, 1944 at the Salvation Army in Beloit, WI and they farmed for 20 years in the Albany area. He later worked for the U.W. plant operations; U.W. Hospital; Judson College; and Camp Tamarack.

Rolland attended the First Baptist Church in Albany, and was a member of Gideons International.

He is survived by his sons, Curtis (Mary) Steindorf of Fitchburg, WI; Glenn (Elayne) Steindorf of Sumter, SC; daughters, Shirley (Mike) Alexander of Albany, WI; Connie (Mike) Neisler of Armington, IL; foster sister, Loretta (Duane) Wolf of Brodhead, WI; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter and numerous step-grandchildren & step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, May 26, 2013 at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE FUNERAL HOME 1455 Mansion Dr., and 18th avenue in Monroe, WI with Pastor Paul Markquart officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Albany, WI.

Visitation will be Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A memorial fund is being established in Rolland's memory.
