Robert L. Phillips, age 81, of Monroe, died on Friday, January 10, 2014 at his home. He was born on March 13, 1932 in Albany, Wisconsin the son of Charles and Helen (Frie) Phillips. Robert was a graduate of Albany High School and Cosmetology School. He first married Delores Roenneburg.
He has been married to his present wife Donna Phillips for 42 years.
Robert served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956.
Robert owned and operated Robert's Beauty Salon and later worked at Fleet Support Services. He took a lot of pride in the homes he constructed and the Zenair airplane he built and flew. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid reader.
He is survived by his wife Donna Phillips of Monroe; daughters, Peggy (Kim) Wiesenberg of Monticello, Pat (Clayton) Everson of Monroe, step-daughter, Suzette (Mark) Bittmann of Burlington, WI; stepsons, Jeffrey (Terry) Cubinski of Germantown, WI; Andrew (Ana) Olson of Nokesville, VA; daughter-in-law, Phern Phillips of Albany; sister-in-law Marcia Phillips of Janesville; 5 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
He is predeceased by his parents, son, Todd and brother, Albert.
