Richard J. Fandrick, age 63, of rural Monroe, died on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Pleasant View Nursing Home, with his loved ones by his side. He was born on June 13, 1953 in Chicago, IL; the son of Frank and Caroline (Hartwig) Fandrick.
Richard was a graduate of Monroe High School.
Richard farmed his entire life in Clarno Township.
He enjoyed bowling, and was an avid Green Bay Packer and Chicago Cubs Fan.
He is survived by his mother, Caroline Fandrick, sister, Judy (Tom) Cox, sister-in-law, Janice Fandrick; nieces, Sara (Chad) Anderson, Debbie (Keith) Dennis, Jessica Fandrick, nephew, Ricky Fandrick; great-nieces and nephews, Danny and Meghan McGee, Taylor Anderson, Ivy and Finn Dennis; and many special cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank F., brother, Frank M., sister, Madge York, and brother-in-law, Dan York.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gaines Richardson of the Monroe Clinic Hospital and his nurse Jodie.
They also would like to thank the wonderful, caring staff at Pleasant View Nursing Home.
Richard had many amazing cousins and friends who were very helpful during his time of need, and we appreciate all of you.
Memorial services will be Friday, April 7, 2017 at 12:00 noon at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE Funeral Home in Monroe, with Pastor Inwah Shon, from Clarno Zion United Methodist Church officiating.
Visitation will be April 7th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Richard's memory.
