Raymond L. Rupnow, age 89, of Monroe, died Monday, December 14, 2015 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. He was born on February 18, 1926 in Monroe, the son of Frank and Hazel (Thorpe) Rupnow. He graduated from Monroe High School.
Raymond served in the U.S. Navy for 2 years.
Ray and Joan K. Kundert were married on July 12, 1953 in Monroe.
Raymond worked for the North Central Public Service as a field worker.
Raymond was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church; enjoyed walking, golfing, collecting stamps, and watching sports, everything from high school thru professional.
He is survived by his wife, Joan of Monroe; 3 children: Christine (Curtis Melick) Rupnow of Lemoyne, PA, Raymond Rupnow of Sun Prairie, and Steven (Carol) Rupnow of Sacramento, CA; brother, Garnet (Phyllis) Rupnow of Cape Cod, MA; 3 grandchildren: Franz, Metta and Rebecca Rupnow.
He is predeceased by his parents; brothers, William and Bobby; and a granddaughter, Sara Rupnow.
Services will be held at a later date.
