BRODHEAD - During the week of Sept. 24-30, officers performed 53 citizen assists, 41 security checks, 21 calls for service and 17 traffic stops, responded to 16 911 calls and eight EMS calls, registered 15 vehicles and responded to five agency-assist calls and one fire call. No transports for mental health or detox were reported.

• A Lake Mills man, 56, was cited for speeding at 8:44 p.m. in the 100 block of 1st Street.

• A Brodhead man, 36, was arrested on a charge of domestic disorderly conduct at 1:36 a.m. in the 400 block of 1st Center Avenue.
• Truancy was reported at 9:16 a.m. in the 2100 block of West 9th Avenue. Contact was made and a warning issued.
• A Monroe man, 18, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 4:25 p.m. in the 700 block of 23rd Street.
• A Brodhead woman, 54, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 6:35 p.m. in the 2000 block of West 9th Avenue.
On Wednesday:
• A Brodhead man, 36, was arrested on a charge of violating a domestic abuse no-contact order at 5:01 p.m. in the 400 block of 1st Center Avenue.
• A hit-and-run crash was reported at 5:54 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. No suspect vehicle has been identified.
• Damage to a bike of unknown value was reported at 6:27 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue.
• A Janesville man, 22, was cited for driving with a suspended license and without proof of vehicle insurance at 6:41 p.m. in the N300 block of 1st Center Avenue.
• A Janesville man, 22, was cited for failing to wear a seatbelt at 8:24 p.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue.
On Thursday:
• A barking dog was reported at 7:54 a.m. in the 600 block of West 3rd Avenue. The owner was warned.
• Two juveniles were cited for disorderly conduct at 11:57 a.m. following a physical altercation in the 2100 block of West 9th Avenue.
On Friday:
• A physical altercation was reported at 8:49 a.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. The involved subjects were warned for disorderly conduct.
• A Roscoe, Illinois man, 21, was cited for speeding at 12:26 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue.
• A Brodhead man, 28, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Beloit Police Department at 6:38 p.m. in the 500 block of 1st Center Avenue.
On Saturday:
• A Janesville man, 27, was cited for unsafe passing at 4:09 p.m. in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue.
• A parking complaint was reported at 6:14 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. The vehicle was parked on private property; no citations were issued.
• A Brodhead man, 18, was cited for underage drinking at 8:09 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue.
• A subject causing a disturbance was reported at 8:48 p.m. in the 700 block of 8th Street. The subject was located and a warning issued for disorderly conduct.
• Police responded at 10:44 p.m. to the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue for a welfare check on a person who was possibly driving while intoxicated. The subject was found to be sober.

NEW GLARUS - On Monday, Sept. 25:
• A theft from an unsecured vehicle was reported at 8:48 a.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Avenue.
• Ryan A. McKittrick, 42, Albany, was cited for driving with a suspended license and a seatbelt violation after police stopped him at 6:21 p.m. on Wisconsin 69 at 11th Avenue for a registration violation.
• Andrew J. McMannes, 36, Monticello, was cited for operating a motor vehicle with an expired registration after police stopped him at 7:32 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue for an equipment violation.
• Nicholas G. Matthews, 55, Madison, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance after police stopped him at 8:42 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue for an equipment violation.
• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Office with a dog found running loose in the Town of New Glarus at 8:50 p.m. The dog's owner was located.
On Tuesday, Sept. 26:
• Police responded to Veteran's Park at 9:19 a.m. for a report of a suspicious male hanging around the memorial. The subject was gone by the time police arrived. However, police made contact with a juvenile who was supposed to be in school. Police made sure the juvenile checked into school.
• At 10:32 a.m., police checked the welfare of a juvenile and investigated possible threats the juvenile had reportedly made in the 1700 block of 2nd Street.
• Fraud/identity theft of a resident in the 1200 block of 5th Street was reported at 12:05 p.m.
• Suspicious and possibly fraudulent phone calls being received at a residence in the 400 block of 3rd Avenue were reported at 5:54 p.m.
• At 6:20 p.m., police received a report and description of a suspicious person walking on 13th Avenue with items that may be related to thefts that occurred in the village.
• Police received a report at 7:06 p.m. of a suspicious truck that kept driving past the caller's residence several times in the 400 block of 3rd Avenue.
• A lost cat was reported at 7:55 p.m. The cat went missing Saturday, Sept. 23 and was last seen in the 400 block of 12th Avenue. It is described as a male domestic shorthair, all black except for a white spot on its chest/neck. Anyone with information on the cat is asked to call the police department at 608-527-2145.
On Wednesday:
• Police received a complaint at 5:13 p.m. of juveniles playing around the storage sheds on Railroad Street. Police advised the juveniles to move on.
• Raven A. Neath, 25, New Glarus, was cited for a seatbelt violation at 6:38 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.
• Lucas T. McKeon, 22, Blanchardville, was cited for an expired vehicle registration at 7:16 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.
On Thursday:
• David E. Beach, 38, Brooklyn, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance after police stopped him at 6:32 p.m. for a registration violation on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.
• Police removed a plastic flamingo from the roadway at the intersection of 5th Avenue at 6th Avenue at 6:37 p.m.
• Police removed some plastic edging from the roadway in the 400 block of 5th Street at 8:15 p.m.
On Friday:
• A Subaru vehicle key found on 5th Avenue was brought to police at 10:29 a.m.
• A drone found in a citizen's yard was brought to police at 10:29 p.m. If anyone is missing a drone, contact the police department.
• A wallet and its contents found in Dane County was turned over to police at 12:50 p.m. Police located the owner and returned it.
• Police assisted a citizen at 5:50 p.m. on 14th Avenue after they locked their keys inside their vehicle.
• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Office at 6:24 p.m. with investigating smoke drifting across Wis. 69 north of the village.
• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Office at 7:24 p.m. with checking addresses in the village for an endangered person.
• Police removed a deer carcass from the lane of traffic on County W east of Elmer Road at 10:09 p.m. No car vs. deer crash in the area had been reported.
• Police and the Green County Sheriff's Office were requested at 11:08 p.m. to assist the Dane County Sheriff's Office with checking for a person at a location in Town of Exeter.
On Saturday:
• Police found a bicycle lying in the street at Railroad Street and 8th Avenue at 2:09 a.m.

MONROE - Arnold L. Hansen, 44, Brodhead, turned himself in at 2:52 p.m. Saturday at the Green County Sheriff's Office for a Department of Corrections Probation and Parole warrant, Green County warrants for failure to pay child support, bail jumping, disorderly conduct and driving with a revoked license and Rock County warrants for obstructing and disorderly conduct. He was jailed pending court.
