Albany Police

ALBANY - Ethan A. Hammer, 21, Evansville, was cited Wednesday, Oct. 16, for driving with a suspended license.

• Thomas M. Wright, 45, Albany, was arrested on a first-offense charge of driving while intoxicated Friday, Oct. 18, in addition to charges of unreasonable and imprudent speeding and driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration.

• Matthew W. Schmid, 33, was arrested Saturday, Oct. 19, on a warrant issued by the Department of Corrections and cited for outside consumption of alcohol.



Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - Jonathan T. Sutherland, 20, Albany, was arrested on domestic abuse-related charges of disorderly conduct, battery and criminal damage to property at 7:02 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16. Bond was posted, and he was released pending court.

• Jason L. Stauffacher, 32, Janesville, was cited for speeding in the 400 block of 1st Street at 10:02 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19.

• Dennis M. Gillespie, 52, Brodhead, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance in the 2300 block of 1st Center Avenue at 9:21 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19.



Monroe Police

MONROE - Alberto Pelaez Garcia, 34, Monroe, was arrested following an investigation of a domestic abuse incident in the 700 block of 17th Street at 2:40 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, and charged with disorderly conduct, battery and obstructing an officer. He was jailed pending court. He faces a Class B misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct related to the incident, filed Monday, Oct. 21. A not-guilty plea was entered in the case the same day. A pre-trial conference is scheduled Nov. 26. His signature bond is set at $500 with the condition that he have no violent or abusive contact with the alleged victim.

• John W. Thompson, Jr., 34, Monroe, was arrested in the 900 block of 19th Avenue at 9:23 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, on a warrant issued by the Probation and Parole Office. He was jailed.

• Tracey L. Klitzke, 36, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct under Domestic Abuse Laws at 3:01 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, in the 300 block of 27th Street. Klitzke posted the required cash bond and was released.

• James W. Sollenberger, 43, Monroe, was arrested in the 600 block of 3rd Avenue at 3:58 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, on a warrant issued by the Dane County Sheriff's Department. He was jailed.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Christopher C. Murray, 30, Evansville, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Albany Police Department for failure to pay a fine, during a traffic stop at 3:50 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14. He was also cited for driving with a suspended license and failing to wear a seatbelt. He posted bond and was released.

• Scott G. Klassy, 35, New Glarus was cited for illegal vehicle window tinting at 4:32 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, on 4th Avenue at 2nd Street.

• Police were dispatched to New Glarus Middle School at 11:55 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, for a student who was creating a disturbance and not obeying school staff.

• Chad A. Schneider, 41, New Glarus, faces multiple charges after police investigated a report of a man and woman fighting in the hallway of an apartment building at 300 Elmer Road at 10:11 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17. Police arrived to find the woman injured and lying in the parking lot. New Glarus Area EMS took her to the Monroe Clinic ER for treatment of her injuries. The suspect, identified as Schneider, had fled the scene. A Green County deputy and his K-9 partner tried unsuccessfully to locate Schneider. The next night at 9:30 p.m., Schneider was apprehended and taken into custody in the 700 block of 6th Avenue. He remains jailed on charges of strangulation/suffocation, intimidation of a victim and domestic abuse-related charges of disorderly conduct, battery and criminal damage to property. He also faces two counts of felony bail jumping and a felony charge of resisting arrest.

• Police checked on a garbage truck that was reportedly on fire at 12:36 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18. The truck was not on fire.

• Police assisted Green County deputies with executing a search warrant in the 500 block of 14th Avenue at 4:32 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18.

• Lorene O. Beers, 79, New Glarus, was cited for driving without a valid license and non-registration of a vehicle at 10:20 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, on 2nd Avenue at Railroad Street.

• Regina Y. Lemon, 41, Fitchburg, was cited for driving with a suspended vehicle registration and without a valid license at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, on Wisconsin 69 at 11th Avenue.

• Manuel D. Serrano, 31, Belleville, was cited for non-registration of a vehicle and illegal window tinting at 2:07 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, on 6th Avenue at Railroad Street.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Jeromy M. Bragg, 24, Albany, was cited for driving with a revoked license in the N6500 block of English Settlement Road in Albany Township at 7:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18.

• Nathan L. Wiesenberg, Jr., 36, rural Monroe, was arrested on a fourth-offense charge of driving while under the influence of an intoxicant, plus felony possession of marijuana, three counts of felony bail jumping and one count of misdemeanor bail jumping, after deputies responded to a report of an occupied vehicle in the ditch in the N600 block of County T in Spring Grove Township at 12:52 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19. Wiesenberg was also cited for driving with a suspended license. He was jailed pending court.

• Daniel L. Farrell, 20, rural Brooklyn, was cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle and failure to notify police of a crash after deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash in the W1000 block of Alpine Road in Brooklyn Township at 3:50 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19. The driver, later identified as Farrell, had fled the scene. He reported he was westbound at about 2 a.m. and swerved to miss a deer. His vehicle left the south side of the road and collided with a culvert. He was uninjured. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday, Oct. 18:

• Trespassing to land on White Lane in Gratiot Township was reported at 10:06 a.m.

• A traffic complaint of a semi stopped on Wis. 23 in Darlington Township was reported at 10:40 a.m.

• A vehicle driving left of center was reported at 2:45 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg Township. A responding deputy did not locate the vehicle.

• Telephone harassment was reported at 4:40 p.m. on Rollercoaster Road in Darlington Township.

On Saturday, Oct. 19:

• A deputy responded at 10:17 a.m. to West High Street in Shullsburg after gasoline was reported stolen from a vehicle. The incident will be forwarded to Shullsburg police for follow-up.

• Emily J. Fargo, 18, Blanchardville, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance at 11:19 p.m. on County F in Fayette Township.

On Sunday, Oct. 20:

• Andrew J. Turpin, 17, Darlington, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 12:11 a.m. on Meylor Lane in Willow Springs Township.

• Kurtis A. Roberts, 21, Shullsburg, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated at 12:24 a.m. on Wis. 23 in Willow Springs Township. Cited for underage drinking were three passengers in the vehicle, all 20 and from Shullsburg: Stephen M. Spillane, Michael D. Breihan-Ubersox and Gavin W. Ubersox. All four were released to a responsible adult pending court.

• A traffic complaint of a disabled vehicle parked along Wis. 11 in Gratiot Township was reported at 4:27 a.m. A responding deputy did not locate the vehicle.

• A deputy responded to Trotter Road in Wiota Township at 9 a.m. to take a report of a civil dispute that occurred the previous day.

• Maria L.S. Hechanova, 33, Platteville, was cited for passing in a no-passing zone at 11:05 a.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg Township.

• A deputy took a report at 12:05 p.m. of a civil dispute that occurred on County XX in Belmont Township.

• A person walking on County F in Darlington Township was reported at 3:59 p.m. A deputy did a welfare check and reported the person was fine.
