Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Cary Lamar Reiswig, 48, Lakeville, Minn., was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated at 1:20 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, on Main Street. Reiswig was also cited for unsafe backing and hit-and-run to an unattended vehicle.

• Brett Bergan, 44, Darlington, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, on Ravine Street. He was also arrested at the time of the traffic stop for a parole violation.

• Vazquez Rodriguez-Ruben, 53, Rockford, Ill., was arrested on charges of driving without a license or vehicle insurance at 9:45 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, on Louisa Street.

• America Jarquin-Morales, 39, Darlington, was cited for driving without a license at 3:10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, on Galena Street.

Monroe Police

MONROE - Dustin J. Olson, 20, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after police responded to a call from a 28-year-old resident in the 800 block of 22nd Avenue at 8:39 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21. The caller reported Olson had assaulted him. A group of people, including Olson, had come to the residence to confront the resident about relationship issues involving his former girlfriend. Olson reportedly pushed and hit him. During the confrontation, a dog bit Olson on the leg. The dog's owner, Christopher J. McGoff, 31, Monroe, was cited for not vaccinating the animal. Olson was jailed on the disorderly conduct charge and a Wisconsin Department of Corrections probation hold.

• Brijeet M. Colby, 22, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated (first offense) at 1:40 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 22, in the 1200 block of 17th Street. She is also charged with driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration, having open intoxicants in her vehicle and non-registration of the vehicle. A passenger, Tyler J. Colby, 28, Brodhead, was cited for having open intoxicants. They were released pending court.

• Derek J. Morgan, 20, Monroe, was arrested in the 2100 block of Ridgeway Road at 6:18 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, on a warrant issued by the Monroe Police Department for failure to pay fines. He posted bond and was released.

• Jose Luis Velazquez, 31, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of cocaine possession at 2:53 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, after officers responded to a complaint that he was unwanted at an apartment in the 2200 block of 1st Street. Officers thought Velazquez was acting suspiciously and asked for permission to search him. He consented, and they found suspected cocaine on him.

• Linda M. Swedlund, 40, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated (second offense) and on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections probation hold at 5:34 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at 21st Street and Wisconsin 69. She was jailed pending a court appearance.

• Terry J. Brady, 42, Monroe, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, battery and misdemeanor bail jumping after police responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a home in the 2000 block of Edgeview Drive at 7:51 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25. Brady and a woman reportedly got into an argument after he wrote something that upset her in the frost on a vehicle window. The dispute escalated to a physical struggle and he allegedly struck her, causing her minor injuries. Brady's signature bond was set Monday in Green County Circuit Court at $2,000, with the conditions that he not drink or have contact with the woman, her daughter or the home. His next court date is Jan. 15.

• A contractor was warned at 9:31 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, to get a building permit to install new windows on a residence in the 1000 block of 21st Street. The contractor had already been warned by the building inspector, so it was a second warning.

• A dead raccoon was found in a backyard in the 100 block of 19th Street at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21. Police contacted the Streets Department to have the carcass removed.

• A dog was found hanging around Northside Elementary School, 3005 8th 1/2 St., at 11:57 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, and turned over the Green County Humane Society.

• A very ill cat was found near Greenco, 1601 4th Ave. W., at 1:12 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21. An officer euthanized the cat by shooting it.

• The burglary of a vacant home in the 600 block of Sunrise Court was reported at 1:49 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21. A door had been forced open and the contents of a safe stolen.

• A bicycle was found in the 900 block of 19th Street and turned over to police at 4:05 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21. To claim this or other items, or report an item found, call dispatch at (608) 329-2400.

• A fence on a residential property in the 1600 block of 15th Avenue was reported damaged, possibly at the hands of a vandal, at 1:21 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 22.

• A dog owner in the 2500 block of 10th Street was warned after police responded to a complaint at 8:52 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 22, that the dog had been barking.

• A resident in the 200 block of 25th Avenue reported at 1:21 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22, that a small homemade rocket had landed in the yard from an unknown launch spot. The resident set the rocket on the curb.

• A 21-year-old woman incapacitated by alcohol was found passed out in the entryway of an apartment building in the 800 block of 6th Street at 8:33 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22. Police turned her over to a family member.

• A person in the 1900 block of Lincoln Road reported losing an electronic tablet at 9:20 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22. The owner left it on top of a car and then drove off.

• Police responded to a complaint of a dog barking in an apartment building in the 2700 block of 8th 1/2 Street at 7:10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23. The owner wasn't home. The landlord told police the tenant was supposed to get the dog out of the apartment.

• A 15-year-old girl reported as a runaway from a home in the 700 block of 12th Avenue at 9:25 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, was located three days later in Brodhead by Brodhead Police.

• A woman's clutch purse was reported lost somewhere in Monroe at 9:20 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24.

• A resident in an apartment building in the 800 block of 6th Street complained about a leaking dishwasher in the apartment above at 9:27 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24. Police advised the tenant in the apartment above to get a plumber.

• A theft of grill covers was reported at 7:09 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, in the 2100 block of 18th Avenue.

• A resident in the 3000 block of 16th Street called police at 8:57 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, to report that a landscaping brick had been thrown through a bedroom window. While police were at the residence, a neighbor came over to report that three small rocks had been thrown at his patio door. No suspects were located.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Jacob A. Olsen, 19, Orfordville, was cited for failure to keep his vehicle under control and failure to notify law enforcement of a crash after deputies and the Brodhead Fire Department responded at 3:47 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, to a rollover accident on Wis. 104 north of St. John Road in the Town of Decatur. Olsen left the scene of the crash on foot and was later identified as the driver. He reported no injuries. He had entered the gravel shoulder, then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to skid sideways across both lanes of the highway. The vehicle ramped over a small embankment and rolled, coming to rest in an upright position. It was very severely damaged and towed.

• Torie E. Tews, 26, Sun Prairie, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense) and driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration after deputies responded at 5:29 a.m. to a traffic complaint of a westbound vehicle on Wis. 11 at Wis. 81 in the Town of Spring Grove. Tews was also cited for operating left of center.

• Estella M. Logue, 58, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated (first offense) after a deputy on patrol at 4:31 p.m. on Wis. 11 at Cadiz Springs Road in the Town of Cadiz noticed an eastbound vehicle veer into the ditch and roll over three times before coming to a rest on its roof. The Browntown Fire Department and Monroe EMS responded to the scene. Logue reported no injuries but was checked over anyway by EMS. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed. Logue was also cited for failure to maintain control.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Oscar A. Velasquez-Castillo, 40, Belmont, was arrested on a charge of driving without a valid license and cited for driving with a suspended vehicle registration following a traffic stop at 10:51 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, on West Mound Road in the Town of Belmont.

• Andrew A. Stocks, 27, Gratiot, was arrested on a charge of obstructing an officer following a traffic stop at 12:28 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 22, on Dunbarton Road in the Town of Shullsburg. He was booked into the Lafayette County Jail, then turned over to the Iowa County Sheriff's Department on a valid body-only warrant. Shullsburg police assisted with the traffic stop.

• James L. Reed, 59, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of driving with a revoked license following a traffic stop on Curve Street in Blanchardville at 12:51 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 22. A passenger, Austin J. Penniston, 32, Argyle, was cited for having open intoxicants in the vehicle.

• Tiffany K. Hardy, 22, Platteville, was arrested by the Grant County Sheriff's Department on a Lafayette County warrant and then taken into custody by a deputy at 3:45 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, and transported to the Lafayette County Jail.

• Robert J. Stietz, 64, Gratiot, was arrested on a charge of recklessly endangering safety after deputies responded to a location off Wis. 81 in the Town of Lamont to assist Department of Natural Resources wardens with handling Stietz, a hunter in the area. He was jailed. Darlington Police, the Wisconsin State Patrol and Rural Medical Ambulance assisted at the scene.

• James M. Varno, 38, Camp Lake, was cited for driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop on Wis. 11 in the Town of Shullsburg at 10:05 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23.

• Israel Hernandez, 21, Galena, Ill., was cited for driving with no license at 12:58 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, on Wis. 81 in the Town of Seymour.

• Trevor J. Thuli, 20, Darlington, was cited for driving with an expired vehicle registration and no vehicle insurance at 2:56 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, on County G in the Town of Argyle.

• Alisa A. Marietta, 39, Davenport, Iowa, was cited for passing in a no-passing zone on Wis. 11 in the Town of Gratiot at 1:43 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24.

•Kimberly L. McPhail, 37, Montfort, was cited for speeding on Wis. 81 in the Town of Elk Grove at 3:47 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24.

• William K. Haffele, 48, Cuba City, was cited for driving while intoxicated and failure to yield right-of-way at a stop sign after a two-vehicle crash with injuries at 5:01 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, on Wis. 11 at Bennett Road. Haffele pulled out to turn left from Bennett Road onto Wis. 11 and collided with a vehicle driven by Louis E. Fuller, 53, Dubuque, Iowa. Both drivers and a passenger, 13-year-old Rebecca Fuller, sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene by Benton First Response and Hazel Green EMS. The Benton Fire Department also assisted at the scene. Haffele's 2007 Chevrolet truck and Fuller's 2003 Ford truck were extensively damaged and towed.

• Faisal Adib K. Alkoblan, 23, Platteville, was cited for speeding at 5:21 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, on Wis. 23 in the Town of Darlington.

• Jose Diaz Perez, 27, Darlington, was cited for driving with no valid license at 6:10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, on Galena Street in Darlington.

• John J. Scanlan, 38, Benton, is facing numerous Grant County traffic charges following a high-speed chase that ended in a one-vehicle accident on Wis. 11 in the Town of Benton at 1:07 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 25. Scanlan was being pursued by a Grant County squad car when he lost control. The 2008 Ford he was driving went airborne, overturned and came to rest on its roof in a field. Scanlan sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported by Hazel Green EMS to a Dubuque hospital. The Benton Fire Department, Benton First Response and Grant County Sheriff's Department also assisted at the scene. Scanlan's Ford vehicle was extensively damaged and towed. The accident remains under investigation.

• Shasta L. Hixon, 19, Argyle, was cited for driving without a valid license or vehicle insurance at 4:37 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, on Wis. 78 in the Town of Argyle.

• A deputy responded at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, to keep the peace during a civil dispute on Wis. 78 in the Town of Gratiot.

• A trespassing complaint was taken at 5:20 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, on Crist Lane in the Town of Darlington.

• A report of harassment was taken at 8:46 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22, on Roller Coaster Road in the Town of Darlington.

• A deputy responded to a verbal dispute between two people at a residence on County W in the Town of New Diggings at 11:44 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 25.

• A trespassing complaint was taken at 3:55 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, on Cisserville Road in the Town of Wayne.

• Deputies responded to a child custody dispute at a residence on Bethel Grove Road in the Town of Belmont at 7:39 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25.
