New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - On Nov. 8:

• Police responded to a complaint regarding people walking around in dark clothing at night at 8:45 a.m. The department wants to remind citizens they are encouraged to wear bright, reflective clothing or carry a flashlight so that motorist can easily see them while out at night.

Police responded at 8:59 a.m. to 2nd Street for a welfare check.

• Suspicious activity was reported at noon for activities happening in the Industrial Park. Nothing was reported as stolen or damaged.

• Samuel D. Sink, 26, Monticello, was cited for driving without insurance and non-registration of auto at 6:45 p.m. on Railroad Street on 8th Avenue.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 7:22 p.m. in the 500 block of 1st Street for juveniles knocking on doors. No one was located.

• Rambr T. Emrich, 46, Hollandale, was cited for violation of child safety seat requirements and driving without insurance at 9:11 p.m. on 6th Avenue at Durst Road.

On Nov. 9:

• A bad check was turned over to police at 9:43 a.m. written on a closed bank account to a business in New Glarus.

On Friday:

• An injured deer in the roadway was reported at 12:55 a.m. on Wis. 69 and County H. The area was checked and no deer was located.

• Police responded at 8:17 a.m. to the New Glarus Elementary School.

• Police assisted an outside agency at 4:30 p.m. investigating in the village. No action was taken.

• Police responded at 5:35 p.m. to the 400 block of 6th Avenue for a welfare check. Everything was fine.

• Chancellor J. Stafford, 16, Beloit, was cited for driving with a permit without a valid driver 21 or older at 8:35 p.m.

On Saturday:

• Police responded at 7:58 a.m. to the 1200 block of 5th Street for a welfare check. After talking with the complainant, a welfare check wasn't necessary.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff with looking for a vehicle involved in an incident at 9:12 a.m. in the Village of Monticello. Police located the vehicle in the 800 block of Wis. 69.

• Police responded to a medical call at 4:30 p.m. in the 300 block of 8th Avenue.

• Police assisted a citizen with directions at 10:36 p.m. in the 900 block of Railroad Street.

On Sunday:

• Suspicious activity was reported at 4:28 p.m. in the 1000 block of 3rd Street.

• Kyle F. Smith, 29, New Glarus, was cited for an animal at large at 5:33 p.m. in the 300 block of Heidi Court.



Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - On Nov. 3:

• Jessica Nicholls, 35, Darlington, was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign at 11:30 a.m. on Wisconsin 23.

On Nov. 8:

• Grey Genzoli, 19, Platteville, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia at 3:45 p.m. on Main Street.

On Nov. 9:

• Caitlyn Hastert, 26, Darlington, was cited for issuing of worthless checks at 2 p.m. following an investigation at a business on Wis. 23.

• Edgar Romero-Durduerte, 26, Darlington, was cited for operating without a valid driver's license at 5:05 a.m. on Minerva Street.

• Trevor J. Thuli, 25, Darlington, was cited for operating after suspension at 6:16 p.m. on Louisa Street.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Monday:

• Carlos Perez-Garcia, 25, Darlington, was cited for driving without a valid license and failure to stop at stop sign at 2:35 a.m. on County I in New Diggings Township.
