Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Catherine Krentz, 61, Darlington, was arrested on a first-offense charge of driving while intoxicated at 6:41 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, on Galena Street.

• Justin Ringleman, 27, Darlington, was arrested for a probation and parole violation following a disturbance on Cornelia Street at 11:11 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9.

Monroe Police

MONROE - On Tuesday, Nov. 5:

• A gas drive-off was reported at 11:50 a.m. from Kwik Trip, 1019 9th St. The driver had left inadvertently and came back to pay for the gas.

• A fifth-grade boy at Abraham Lincoln Accelerated Learning Academy was reported at 1:41 p.m. for telling the principal during class, "I should just shoot you." Police talked with the boy about his behavior.

• Truancy cases for students at Monroe High School - two boys, 16, and one girl, 15 - were referred at 1:58 p.m. to Green County Human Services.

• A stray Yorkie-type dog was reported found at 4:07 p.m. in the 700 block of 18th Avenue. It was taken to the Green County Humane Society.

• A 911 misdial was received at 4:44 p.m. from the 2100 block of 11th Street. Someone sat down on the phone. There was no emergency.

On Wednesday, Nov. 6:

• A citation for trespassing is pending against a 35-year-old woman after police responded to a complaint at 10:17 a.m. of an unauthorized person entering the St. Clare Friedensheim, 2003 4th St., and taking a wallet.

• A 16-year-old boy was cited after two thefts were reported within an hour in the afternoon. At 2:17 p.m., police were called to the Northsider Mobil, 180 N. 18th Ave., where the teen allegedly walked in, looked the clerk directly in the eye and took stuff. Less than an hour later, police were called to Luna Maya, 128 W. 8th St., after the teen reportedly ordered and ate food, then walked out without paying.

• An argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend was reported by neighbors at 9:07 p.m. in an apartment building in the 1700 block of 8th Avenue. No one was cited or arrested. The boyfriend decided he was going to go live elsewhere.

• A 911 hangup at 11:09 p.m. was traced to a cellphone in the area of 16th Street and Wis. 69. No emergency was located.

On Thursday, Nov. 7:

• Harassing messages between a young man and woman were reported by the female half at 6:01 a.m. in the 2000 block of 15th Avenue. Police advised her to block him.

• A car insurance company's monitoring device was reported lost at 7:47 a.m.

• A property owner in the 600 block of 28th Avenue was warned at 11:05 a.m. for having brush and branches piled on the terrace without proper tags.

• A cellphone in a locker at Monroe Middle School somehow dialed 911 at 12:14 p.m. There was no emergency.

• An alleged child abuse case in the 600 block of 19th Avenue was opened with Human Services at 2:33 p.m.

• Police were asked at 3:27 p.m. to check the welfare of a cat hanging around Stop-N-Go at 8th Street and 16th Avenue. The cat zoomed off and appeared quite mobile.

• Victor Dominguez-Delfin, 32, Monroe, was cited for animal noise nuisance after police responded at 5:53 p.m. to dog barking complaint in the 1000 block of 12th Street.

• A boyfriend/girlfriend dispute over Facebook and text messaging was reported when she called 911 at 6:09 p.m. and claimed he was making threats involving a "fire bomb" or "cherry bomb."

• A 911 caller reported a suspicious-looking vehicle and occupants at 11:38 p.m. in the 2900 block of 13th Street. No cause for concern was found.

On Friday, Nov. 8:

• Steven J. Haile, 26, Monroe, was cited for theft at 1:58 a.m. in the 1200 block of 18th Street after officers observed a pickup loaded with what looked like scrap metal and car parts in the back. The items were allegedly stolen from vehicles in the area and from businesses along 18th Street by 13th Avenue. Three days earlier, police received several complaints of metal parts being stolen in the same block.

• A stray black-and-white kitten was captured at 9:27 a.m. in the 400 block of West 21st Street and taken to the Humane Society.

• A stray, growling dog near Walmart, 300 6th Ave. W., was reported at 9:30 a.m. It fled out of city limits but was eventually corralled with a deputy's help and taken to the Humane Society.

• An envelope containing cash was reported lost at 11:26 a.m., possibly in the 400 block of West 8th Street.

• A truancy investigation was opened at 11:36 a.m. at Monroe High School.

• Fraud was reported at 12:41 p.m. in the 100 block of West 7th Street.

• A necklace was reported lost somewhere in the city at 3:16 p.m.

• A cellphone was found at 4:07 p.m. in the 1700 block of 11th Street and can be claimed at the police station.

• A stray hound-type dog with tags was found at 5:23 p.m. by Lucky 7, 710 21st St. Police left a message at the number on the tag.

• A theft of checks was reported at 6:19 p.m. at a residence in the 900 block of 17th Street. Police have leads.

• Thomas C. Smith, 61, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of bail jumping after police went to his residence in the 2700 block of 8th 1/2 Street to arrest him on a warrant at 6:30 p.m. and discovered that he'd been drinking, in violation of a bond condition that he not drink. He was also taken into custody on the warrant, issued by the Green County Sheriff's Department. He was jailed.

• An intoxicated 56-year-old man was found passed out at 7:59 p.m. in a stranger's yard at 16th Street and 14th Avenue. He was turned over to a responsible party.

• Police were called to Northside Elementary at 9:01 p.m. for a report that an 11-year-old boy elbowed another 11-year-old boy at an after-school function. The incident remains under investigation.

On Saturday, Nov. 9:

• A 911 caller at 4:26 a.m. reported an out-of-control boy, 8, at a home in the 2300 block of 16th Avenue.

• Police were dispatched to an argument between estranged spouses at 10:24 a.m. in the 700 block of 12th Avenue. No one was cited or arrested.

• A 911 hangup at 11:39 a.m. was traced to the 800 block of 30th Street. No emergency was located.

• Ralph F. Stammen, 60, Monroe, was arrested on a domestic abuse-related charge of disorderly conduct after police were dispatched at 7:13 p.m. to the 700 block of 12th Avenue. He was jailed. His signature bond is set at $500 with the condition that he not drink or go into bars or liquor stores. A not-guilty plea was entered in the case. He has a pre-trial conference Jan. 7.

• A sex offense that allegedly occurred in Green County a week earlier was reported to police by staff at a Madison hospital at 11:23 p.m.

On Sunday, Nov. 10:

• A 911 hangup at 2:37 a.m. was traced to the 2100 block of 11th Street. No emergency was located.

• Marcella N. Ingram, 35, Monroe, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Rock County Sheriff's Department after police stopped her at 5:14 p.m. in the 2000 block of 9th Street for having a brake light out. She posted the required cash bond and was released.

On Monday, Nov. 11:

• A 911 hangup at 12:05 a.m. was traced to a home in the 1800 block of 14th Avenue. No one was home. Police left a message but received no call back.

• A 911 caller at 8:41 a.m. reported an argument between exes in a parked vehicle outside the Northsider Mobil, 180 N. 18th Ave. The ex-girlfriend left before police arrived.

• Slashed or purposely deflated tires on a vehicle were reported at 9:23 a.m. in the 1700 block of 17th Street. This is not the first time this has happened to the victim. She suspects another woman who has been arguing with her on Facebook.

• A 17-year-old girl was reported as a runaway at 10:25 a.m. from her home in the 2400 block of 10th Avenue.

• Alice F. Kranig, 67, Browntown, was cited for failure to yield right-of-way while making a left turn after police responded at 12:26 p.m. to a two-vehicle accident without injuries in the 400 block of 8th Street. Kranig collided with a vehicle driven by a 73-year-old man from Winslow.

• Threats of self-harm made during a text messaging exchange between a father and daughter were reported at 12:31 p.m. at Monroe High School. Police found no indication of real distress.

• A tenant in the 800 block of 6th Street called police at 12:54 p.m. to report a dispute with the landlord.

• A dog owner in the 2700 block of 6th Avenue was warned not to allow it to run at large after a neighbor complained at 4:22 p.m. that the dog attacked a puppy in a neighboring yard, causing minor injury.

• New residents in the 300 block of North 11th Avenue were warned not to allow their dog to run loose after police responded to a neighbor's complaint at 5:17 p.m.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Monday, Nov. 11:

• A 911 hangup was received at 6:50 a.m. from a residence on East Main Street in Shullsburg. A deputy responded and found everything to be OK.

• Javier Perez-Gomez, 28, Belmont, was cited for driving without a license or vehicle insurance and hit-and-run on property adjacent to a highway after a deputy responded at 8:30 a.m. to County G in Kendall Township for a hit-and-run accident. The driver drove off after losing control, veering from one ditch to the other and crashing through a barbed-wire fence. The vehicle was located abandoned in Belmont. Perez-Gomez admitted he was the driver and had lost control while trying to avoid a deer in the road.

• Zachary A. Brown, 20, Darlington, was cited for failure to keep a vehicle under control after a deputy responded at 4:23 p.m. to a one-vehicle accident on Wis. 81 in Seymour Township. He was driving eastbound when he reached for something on the floor and the vehicle went into the ditch, sustaining minor damage. Brown reported no injuries. His vehicle was driven from the scene.

• A vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on U.S. 151 in Belmont Township was reported at 7:08 p.m. Deputies responded but did not locate the vehicle.
