Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Austyn R. Althaus, 18, Monroe, and Nicholas A. Elmer, 19, New Glarus, were both arrested at 12:57 a.m. Friday with three counts of theft after deputies responded to a traffic complaint of a truck pulling a trailer with no lights. Part of the trailer's load was lost on rural Monroe roadways on Wisconsin 59. The vehicle and trailer were located at a residence on Stauffacher Road. Investigation determined the trailer was allegedly stolen from a quarry on County J, Town of Monroe. Althaus and Elmer received the two additional theft charges from prior thefts at the same location. Both subjects were released pending court.

• Chelsea L. Reine, 22, Brodhead, was arrested at 9:32 p.m. Saturday for domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property at a residence on Pine Street, Town of Decatur. Reine posted bond and was released pending court.

On Sunday:

• Mason T Obermann, 18, Brodhead, was arrested at 11:33 a.m. for domestic abuse-related substantial battery and disorderly conduct after deputies investigated a report of a domestic disturbance from the prior evening at a field party in the Town of Decatur. Obermann was jailed pending court.

• Lindsay N. Gillen, 30, Monroe, was cited at 12:24 p.m. for speeding and driving with a suspended license in the N7300 block of County N, Town of Monroe. Gillen was released pending court.

• Benjamin R. Normington, 28, Brodhead, was cited at 5:49 p.m. for driving without a valid license on Wis. 11 near County S, Town of Sylvester. Normington was released pending court.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• A deputy responded to a report of an out-of-control student at 11:01 a.m. at Benton Schools.

• A deputy responded at 4:54 p.m. for a traffic complaint of debris on U.S. 151, Belmont Township. Upon arrival, the deputy removed the debris.

• A deputy was dispatched for a report of a deceased animal on a property at 5:51 p.m. at Faymont Road, Fayette Township. The incident remains under investigation.

On Saturday:

• Roger C. Coleman, 21, Milwaukee, was arrested at 8:03 a.m. on Wood Street, Shullsburg, for warrants issued through Lafayette County. Coleman posted bond and was released.

• A deputy responded at 10:47 a.m. to a report of ATVs driving on private property at County G, Kendall Township.

• A deputy responded to a report of livestock on the highway at 11:45 a.m. on County G, Kendall Township.

On Sunday:

• A deputy was dispatched at 7:32 a.m. to a report of an injured animal on the roadway on Wis. 11, Wayne Township.

• A deputy responded to a 911 hang-up call at a residence at 1:56 p.m. on Frank Street, Darlington.

• A deputy transported Jaime L. Anderson, 22, South Wayne, at 6:14 p.m. to Green County on a warrant issued through Green County.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - On Monday, April 28:

• Police received a report of a possibly suicidal subject in the Village of New Glarus at 11:16 a.m. The person was located and interviewed. The person stated that they were not suicidal and no further action was taken.

• Police took a report of harassing phone calls at 8:10 p.m. Upon completion of the investigation, a suspect is being referred to the Green County District Attorney for charges of domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct and unlawful use of a computer for communication.

• Police responded at 11:40 am. Wednesday, to a report of a homeless subject begging for money in the 10 block of 6th Avenue. Contact was made with the subject, who departed the area shortly after.

• Officers along with Monroe Police transported an adult female to a mental health facility at 2:15 p.m. Thursday. She was transported because of an incident on Wednesday.

• Maria L. Zabawa, 37, New Glarus, was cited for theft Thursday, stemming from an incident that occurred on April 24 regarding a theft report in the 1400 block of 2nd Street. It was reported some money was stolen.

• Police responded at 6:45 p.m. Saturday to a report of a possibly intoxicated individual laying on the sidewalk in the 100 block of 5th Avenue.

• Police had taken six separate theft-of-gas reports from a business in the 1400 block of Wis. 69 between Oct. 14 and April 1. An investigation revealed two subjects were involved in all six thefts and used two different vehicles during the thefts. Derek P. Petkus, 34, Belleville, was cited for six counts of retail theft, one count reckless driving and one count driving a vehicle while suspended. Mindy A. Hosler, 31, Belleville, was also cited for two counts of retail theft.



Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - Stacy L. Flannery, 36, Madison, was cited Sunday, April 27, for three counts of issuing worthless checks. She was released pending court.

• Carolyn D. Willison, 66, Brodhead, was arrested at 9:52 a.m. Thursday in the 100 block of Cedar Avenue for a restraining order violation. Willison had a temporary restraining order in effect from Wednesday granted in a civil case. She was jailed pending a pre-trial conference on June 17.
