DARLINGTON Police

DARLINGTON - Rufino Hernandez-Mendez, 33, Darlington, was cited for having open intoxicants in a vehicle and operating without a valid license at 3:50 p.m. Thursday after police stopped him on Galena Street. Luis Fernando Alarcon-Cano, 20, Darlington, was cited for open intoxicants and underage drinking.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Thursday:

• Lisa Dietzel, 54, Shullsburg, was transported by police to the Lafayette County Jail at 8:12 a.m. on a valid warrant.

• Chade Rozell, 45, Beloit, was cited at 5:07 p.m. for speeding on Wisconsin 11 in Benton.

• Anna Fitzsimons, 19, Darlington, was cited for operating left of center on Wis. 78 in the Town of Argyle.

• Jennifer Buol, 24, Argyle, was cited for no proof of insurance and operating a vehicle with a suspended registration after police stopped her on Wis. 11 in South Wayne.

• Police responded at 9:19 a.m. to Railroad Avenue in Benton to assist in traffic control.

• Police responded at 10:14 a.m. to North Judgement Street in Shullsburg to assist other agencies.

• Police responded at 11:05 a.m. to West Estey Street in Shullsburg to assist the Shullsburg Police Department.

• A hit-and-run on West Mound Road in the Town of Belmont was reported at 12:03 p.m.

• Police responded at 12:12 p.m. to Penn Street in the Town of Belmont to assist in traffic control.

• Police responded at 3:45 p.m. to Galena Street in Darlington to assist the Darlington Police Department.

• A suspicious vehicle on Alma Street in Benton was reported at 6:56 p.m.

• Police responded at 8:19 p.m. to East High Street in Shullsburg for a 911 hang up. The Shullsburg Police Department assisted.

• Police responded at 8:48 p.m. to County J in the Town of Benton to assist the Darlington Police Department.
