Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Tuesday, April 30:

• Ashley M. Grossen, 27, Monroe, was arrested following a traffic stop at 6:01 a.m. on Wisconsin 81 in Darlington Township. She was jailed on valid warrants issued by Lafayette County and cited for speeding and driving with a suspended license and without vehicle insurance. She later posted bond and was released.

• Michael L. Bolton, 60, Darlington, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated at 10:37 p.m. on Wis. 23 in Darlington Township. He was released to a responsible person.

• Deputies responded at 11:30 p.m. to Cisserville Road in Wiota Township for a report of a domestic disturbance the occurred earlier in the day. The incident remains under investigation.



Monroe Police

MONROE - On Tuesday, April 30:

• Rhandee H. Wenger, 20, Monroe, was arrested on charges of retail theft and bail jumping after police were called at 4:28 p.m. to Walmart, 300 6th Ave. W. She reportedly shoplifted six mini bottles of vodka, valued at $8. She was jailed. Her signature bond was set the following day at $750, with the conditions that she not drink or have contact with the Walmart store in Monroe. Her next court appearance is June 18.

• A 16-year-old boy from Evansville was cited for retail theft at 11:55 a.m. at Stop-N-Go, 1607 9th St. He reportedly shoplifted candy and an energy drink, valued at $7.

• Thomas C. Tullis, 60, Monroe, was cited for unsafe backing of a vehicle at 3:11 p.m. at West 10th 1/2 Street and 4th Avenue. He collided with a vehicle driven by Barbara L. Timmerman, 45, Monroe. No injuries were reported.

• A resident in the 2400 block of 10th Avenue reported at 6:59 a.m. that a kickball accidentally kicked into a neighbor's yard the previous day had been returned to the resident anonymously, punctured with a sharp object. A note on it said, "Keep the ball in your yard." The suspected neighbor denied doing it. Police are still following up.

• Police were called at 7:39 a.m. to an argument between a mother and teen daughter in the 800 block of 24th Street. The girl was upset her mother took away her car and cellphone.

• A man in the 2100 block of 4th Avenue reported at 10:50 a.m. that his girlfriend pushed him and pulled his shirt. He reportedly doesn't pay his share of the rent, and she told him to leave. No one was cited or arrested.

• Broken garage windows were reported at 12:42 p.m. by a landlord in the 1100 block of 15th Street. It is unknown how the windows were broken.

• Police were called at 2:41 p.m. to a dispute between estranged ex-spouses in the 200 block of 11th Avenue. The ex-couple received a tax credit check made out to both, and one had cashed it without the other's permission. Police told them to work it out between themselves or take their dispute to small claims court.
