MONROE - Matthew D. Minder, 24, Browntown, was arrested at 2:15 a.m. Friday for driving while intoxicated, first offense, in the 1000 block of 13th Avenue. He was also cited for driving without required head lamps. Minder was released pending court.
Benjamin M. Chicker, 23, Monroe, was arrested at 3:42 a.m. Saturday for driving while intoxicated, first offense, in the 1700 block of 13th Avenue. Chicker was released pending court.

MONROE - Derrick A. Smith, 46, Monroe, was arrested at 5:28 a.m. Friday on a warrant issued by the Monroe Police Department for disorderly conduct in the W7800 block of Wisconsin 81, Town of Jordan. Smith was jailed pending court.

DARLINGTON - On Friday:
Deputies responded to Shullsburg Schools to assist with the removal of an out-of-control student at 10:20 a.m. Prior to the deputies' arrival, the student was removed by a family member.
A deputy responded at 2:21 p.m. to a check welfare of several children who were reported to be playing near the roadway on Wis. 11, Shullsburg.
Allen M. Fuhrmeister, 47, Solon, Iowa, was arrested at 8:31 p.m. for driving an ATV while intoxicated on the Cheese Country Trail, Wayne Township. He was later released to a responsible party.
On Saturday:
A deputy responded to a report of a tree on the roadway at 12 p.m. on Furnace Hill Road, Willow Springs Township.
A deputy was dispatched at 1:08 p.m. to a report of dogs running at large on Wis. 78, Wiota Township.

A deputy responded to an injured animal at 8:38 a.m. on County F, Willow Springs Township.
A deputy assisted with a civil dispute at 7:08 p.m. that occurred on West Water Street, City of Shullsburg.
A deputy responded at 8:35 p.m. to a report of a stolen vehicle on Cottage Inn Road, Belmont Township.
A deputy responded to a report of animal neglect at 9:14 p.m. on West Pleasant Street, Village of South Wayne.

BRODHEAD - On Sunday, May 4:
Devin S. Nacius, 18, Brodhead, was cited for issuing worthless checks. He was released pending court.
Brian J. Woodworth, 26, Brodhead, was arrested at 9:50 a.m. for driving while intoxicated, second offense, in the 1100 block of West 5th Avenue. He was released to a responsible party.
Richard L. Lynn, 57, Brodhead, was arrested at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday in the 1100 block of 2nd Avenue on a Winnebago County Warrant. Lynn posted bond and was released pending court.
New Glarus Police
NEW GLARUS - Police found an open door while conducting a security check in the 300 block of 3rd Avenue at 12:14 a.m. Tuesday. No foul play was observed upon clearing the building. The door was then secured.
Police assisted a local business with a runaway steer in the village at 8 a.m. Thursday. The steer was corralled and captured in the 600 block of 8th Street.
On Saturday:
Angela A. Voigt, 51, New Glarus, was arrested at 3:49 p.m. for disorderly conduct and misdemeanor bail jumping following a report of a domestic disturbance in the 300 block of Elmer Road. Voigt was jailed pending court.
Jacob D. Walters, 20, Lacrosse, was cited at 6:01 p.m. for illegal window tint on Wis. 69 at 6th Avenue.
On Sunday:
Police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 11 a.m. in the 700 block of 3rd Street. The incident remains under investigation.
Police took a report of theft from a motor vehicle in the 400 block of Valley Lane at 11:43 a.m. It was reported that both license plates were taken off the vehicle. The incident is under investigation. The New Glarus Police Department asked that if anyone locates the license plates, to call the department.
Police received a harassment complaint at 12:40 p.m. from a location in the village. The incident remains under investigation.
Police responded at 2:53 p.m. to a commercial burglary alarm in the 1100 block of Wis. 69. Everything was found to be OK.
