DARLINGTON Police

DARLINGTON - Matthew Wylie, 27, Darlington, was arrested on active warrants for failing to pay a citation for driving after suspension at 8:56 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of Main Street.

• Officers are investigating a fight that occurred at 5:25 p.m. Saturday at a Center Hill Road location. A 31-year-old male received serious facial injuries after being hit and kicked in the face during an altercation. Rural Medical Ambulance Service transported the victim to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County where he was treated and referred to University of Wisconsin Hospital for surgery. The suspect fled from the scene prior to police arrival. The Lafayette County Sheriff's Department assisted at the scene.

• Officers responded to a report of a 14-year-old suicidal male in a tree on Washington Street at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The teen climbed about 20 to 30 feet up into a tree and reportedly threatened to jump. After officers were unable to convince the teen to come down voluntarily, the Darlington Fire Department and Rural Medical Ambulance Service were requested to respond and assist. Police and fire personnel used ladders as well as a platform fire truck to corral the teen and remove him from the tree. One firefighter and one police officer were hit and kicked by the teen during the incident. The teen was not injured and is currently being detained at a mental health facility. The matter has been referred to the Lafayette County Juvenile Intake office for criminal charges of battery to a firefighter, battery to a police officer, resisting an officer and disorderly conduct. The Lafayette County Sheriff's Department assisted.



Monroe Police

MONROE - On Saturday:

• A 16-year-old female passenger was cited for a first offense of underage possession/consumption of alcohol, after officers conducted a traffic stop at 3:16 a.m. in the 600 block of 21st Street. The juvenile female was released.

• Saisamorn A. Luangaram, 18, Monroe, was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued through the Rock County Sheriff's Department for failing to pay a fine at 6:10 a.m. in the 2600 block of 8th Avenue. Luangaram was jailed at the Green County Jail pending cash bond.

• Officers responded a retail theft complaint at 3:09 p.m. to the 400 block of West 8th Street. Richard A. Johnson, 38, Albany, was cited for retail theft and released.

On Sunday:

• Tyler J. Williams 18, Monroe, was cited for a first offense of underage possession/consumption of alcohol at 3:44 a.m. Sunday, after officers made contact with three subjects in the 1000 block of 15th Avenue. A second subject, a 17-year-old male, was cited for possessing drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were released.



NEW GLARUS Police

NEW GLARUS - On May 4:

• New Glarus Police Department assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department with a 911 hang-up call at 3:03 p.m. in the W5600 block County H.

• Police received a traffic complaint at 5:46 p.m. in regards to vehicles always speeding on 2nd Street, south of 6th Avenue, towards County H.

On May 5:

• New Glarus Police Department assisted the Monticello Police Department with a traffic stop at 8:50 p.m. on W. Coates Avenue at Wis. 69.

• Police responded to a child custody issue between parents at 10:13 p.m. on 5th Street.

On Wednesday:

• Police responded to a report of a female subject who wanted to harm herself at 7:04 p.m. Wednesday at a 2nd Street address. The subject was interviewed and a social worker was contacted. It was determined that she was not a threat to herself and no further action was taken.

On Thursday:

• Police received a complaint at 9:53 a.m. in regards to a traffic complaint of a subject following a vehicle around town. The vehicle was not located and this incident is still under investigation.

• Police received a complaint in regards to the theft of a sweatshirt from the high school at 4:45 p.m. A suspect was identified and the case in still under investigation.

• Police were dispatched at 5:20 p.m. to the 700 block of Windlach Street for an open 911 call. An investigation revealed that there was no emergency and the number was accidentally dialed.

On Friday:

• Justin D. Kainz, 23, Monroe, was cited for driving while suspended at 5:20 p.m., after police observed him driving on 8th Street at 6th Avenue.

• New Glarus Police Department assisted the Madison Police Department at 11:05 a.m. with attempting to locate a subject in New Glarus. The subject was not located.

• Police took a report of a male subject going door-to-door attempting to sell installations for new roofs on residences at 6:07 p.m. The area was checked and the subject was not located.

On Saturday:

• Brianna N. Johnson, 19, New Glarus, was cited for driving a vehicle without valid driver's license at 9:11 p.m. on 7th Avenue at 5th Street, after police stopped her for an equipment violation.

• Police received a complaint at 2:17 p.m. in regards to someone who had mowed a large amount of grass clipping into the roadway. Contact was made and the grass clippings were properly cleaned up.

• New Glarus Police Department assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department with a report of an injured deer at 8:29 p.m. in the N7800 block Wis. 69. The deer was severally injured and was dispatched.

On Sunday:

• Police responded at 3:45 p.m. to the 10 block of 6th Avenue for a 911 hang up. An investigation revealed that it was a pocket dial and there was no emergency.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Sunday:

• Elijah I. Armendarez, 19, Argyle, was arrested for criminally possessing THC and possessing drug paraphernalia at 5:08 p.m., following a stop for a traffic violation on Wisconsin 81 and McGrath Lane, in the Town of Jordan. Armendarez was also cited for having open intoxicants in a vehicle and underage possession of alcohol. Armendarez was transported to the Green County Jail where he remains on his charges and a probation hold.

• Maria De Jesus Garza, 29, Marshall, was cited for driving after revocation at 8:27 a.m. after deputies were notified of a traffic complaint of a vehicle that was eastbound on Wis. 11. Deputies located the vehicle on Hill Lane, off of Wis. 69, in the Town of Monroe. She was released.

• Dustin J. Olson, 25, Monroe, was cited for driving after suspension at 8:05 p.m. after deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the N3500 block of Wis. 81 in the Town of Monroe. He was released.

• Jerimie Richards, 19, Orland Park, Ill., was cited for speeding at 8:19 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Darlington Township.

• Nicholas Craig, 27, Muscoda, was cited for speeding at 10:23 p.m. on County XX in Township of Belmont.

• Shena Thao, 23, Platteville, was cited for speeding at 11:10 p.m. on County XX in Township of Belmont.

• A deputy responded to assist the Argyle Police Department at 10:58 a.m. to N. State Street in Argyle.

• A deputy responded to a complaint of driving without owner's consent at 1:34 p.m. to W. Church Road in Gratiot Township.

• A deputy responded to a 911 hang up at 2:02 p.m. on Mau Road in Wayne Township.

• A deputy responded to a suspicious person complaint at 4:40 p.m. on W. Main Street in Benton.

• A deputy responded to a criminal damage to property complaint at 6:40 p.m. to King Road in Willow Springs Township.

• A deputy responded to assist the Monroe Police Department at 7:32 p.m. on West Grove in South Wayne.

On Saturday:

• Patrick Gorr, 23, Kenosha, was cited for possessing drug paraphernalia, possessing marijuana, no registration of a vehicle and having no proof of insurance 2:25 a.m. Wis. 11 in Gratiot Township.

• Lance Miller, 43, Dubuque, Iowa, was cited for passing in a no-passing zone at 7:14 a.m. on Wis. 11 in Gratiot Township.

• Kimberly Zettle, 47, Juda, was cited for speeding at 7:54 a.m. on Wis. 11 in Gratiot Township.

• Patrick Swanson, 19, Mokena, Ill., was cited for passing in a no-passing zone at 2:52 p.m. Wis. 81 in Elk Grove Township.

• A deputy responded to a traffic complaint at 10:52 a.m. County I in New Diggings Township.

• A deputy responded to assist the Darlington Police Department at 3:23 p.m. to Galena Street in Darlington.

• A deputy responded to a dog at large complaint at 3:41 p.m. to Mayer Road in Wayne Township.

• A deputy responded to a suspicious person complaint at 4:25 p.m. on Meier Road in Wayne Township.

• A deputy responded to a power line down at 6:54 p.m. Larse Road in the Town of Wiota.

• A deputy responded to a suspicious activity complaint at 7:49 p.m. Ferndale Road in Willow Springs Township.

• Deputies responded to assist the Darlington Police Department at 9:11 p.m. on Main Street, City of Darlington.

On Sunday:

• Jeremy Cook, 24, Paddock Lake, was cited for passing in a no-passing zone at 4:15 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg Township.

• Deputies responded to a residential alarm at 3:53 a.m. in Pecatonica Road in Gratiot Township.
