Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Gustavo Mota, 23, Chicago, was arrested on charges of driving without a license and speeding 24 mph over the speed limit at 7:40 p.m. Sunday, June 25, on Wisconsin 23 in Darlington. Mota posted bond and was released.

Monroe Police

MONROE - A resident in the 200 block of 11th Avenue complained at 8:37 a.m. Monday, June 25, that someone had dropped a bag of recycleables on his terrace to be picked up by city collectors. Since the city doesn't limit the number of bags of recycleables residents can put out, there was no extra cost to the resident.

- A resident in the 700 block of 30th Avenue reported an unauthorized charge of more than $300 on a debit card account at 9:53 a.m. Monday, June 25. The case is under investigation.

- A hair salon in the 100 block of West 8th Street reported at 12:47 p.m. Monday, June 25, that an employee is stealing from the business. Police are investigating.

n A group of children was warned at 3:09 p.m. Monday, June 25, for setting off fireworks in Recreation Park, 1700 22nd Ave.

- Police responded to a complaint of a dog at large in the 200 block of 4th Avenue at 6:59 p.m. Monday, June 25. The dog was located and returned to the owner, who was warned for allowing the animal to roam at large.

- A 13-year-old boy was cited for trespassing in the 500 block of West 21st Street at 9:18 p.m. Monday, June 25, and released to a parent.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Jimmy W. Mattinson, Jr., 30, Mineral Point, was cited for non-registration of a vehicle at 8:50 a.m. Monday, June 25, following a traffic stop on Wisconsin 11 in Shullsburg.

- Elizabeth H. Pick, 23, Rewey, was cited for failure to fasten seatbelt at 9:59 a.m. Monday, June 25, on Wis. 11 in the Town of Shullsburg.
