BRODHEAD - David J. Davenport, 41, Brodhead, was arrested in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue at 11:48 p.m. Thursday, June 14, on charges of prowling, trespassing, disorderly conduct and resisting an officer.
- Elinor L. Olmstead, 74, Janesville, was cited for speeding at 4:16 p.m. Sunday, June 10, in the 600 block of 1st Street.
- Garrett A. Koch, 19, Footville, was cited for underage possession of alcohol at 7:46 p.m. Sunday, June 10, in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue.
- Karessa J. Patterson, 28, Brodhead, was cited Saturday, June 16, on two counts of issuing worthless checks.
Monroe Police
MONROE - Dustin A. Dean, 27, and Donald D. Graves, 34, both of Monroe, were arrested in the 600 block of 17th Avenue at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, June 16, on charges of violating conditions of their bond: Dean for two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping and Graves for two counts of felony bail jumping, stemming from signature bonds signed last week for charges in Green County Circuit Court that they conspired in a string of car break-ins in the area. They were jailed.
- Rene P. Zimmerman, 32, Belleville, was arrested in the 1300 block of 17th Avenue at 1:50 a.m. Sunday, June 17, on a warrant issued by the Green County Sheriff's Department for failure to appear. He was jailed.
- Linda A. Kuoppala, 35, Monroe, was arrested on charges of burglary and criminal damage to property after officers were dispatched at 9:43 p.m. Sunday, June 17, to the Garden Spot, 3002 13th St. Police say they found evidence that Kuoppala broke a south-facing window to get into the garden shop and stole rolls of coins. When officers located her nearby, she was reportedly intoxicated and had fallen off her bicycle. She was treated for minor injuries and jailed.
- Kyle S. Peotter, 17, Monroe, was cited for trespassing at 4:31 p.m. Saturday, June 16, in the 500 block of West 21st Street.
- Three 19-year-olds were cited for underage drinking at 2:49 a.m. Sunday, June 17, in the 500 block of 8th Avenue: Kaitlyn A. Cook, Brodhead; Dylan C. Johnson, Beloit; and Jodi R. Sorgatz, Orfordville.
- A woman in the 500 block of Meadow Green Court reported at 11:16 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, that her van was sprayed with mustard and ketchup. Police have no suspects for the vandalism.
- Police investigated a report at 9:53 a.m. Thursday, June 14, that a resident in the 1100 block of 19th Street may be hoarding cats. A neighbor told police the curtains are shredded and a strong smell of cat urine and feces emanates from the home. An officer left a notice to call police after getting no answer at the door.
- The owners of "constantly barking" dogs in the 700 block of 16th Avenue were warned to keep the animals quiet after an officer responded to a complaint at 2:13 p.m. Thursday, June 14.
- Police investigated a complaint at 5:09 p.m. Thursday, June 14, that a man with the company Satton Marketing was selling satellite TV service door-to-door in the 2300 block of 14th Avenue, possibly without a permit. The complaint was unfounded, police discovered. The man had a vending permit.
- A resident in the 2600 block of 8th Street reported $430 missing from his wallet at 7:46 a.m. Friday, June 15, following a party in his home. Police are investigating suspects.
- Code violation warning notices were issued to property owners Saturday, June 16, in the 1000 block of 29th Avenue to clean up a vehicle with a flat tire parked on a tarp in the yard; in the 2100 block of 14th Avenue to clean up furniture left at the curb for a month; in the 1300 block of 28th Avenue and 2300 block of 13th Street to remove or fence in large, blow-up pools with a water depth of at least 18 inches; in the 2300 block of 13th Street to clean up a car parked in the yard with flat tires and no plates; and in the 700 block of 12th Avenue to mow the lawn.
