Albany Police

ALBANY - During the week of June 9 to 15:

• David A. Nolte, 19, Brodhead, was cited for underage possession of alcohol.

• Hayli M. Peach, 20, Albany, was cited for underage possession of alcohol.

• Anna M. Hoff, 20, Janesville, was cited for driving with a suspended license.

Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - A 17-year-old Brodhead male was arrested Monday, June 10, on charges of disorderly conduct and damaging property, stemming from an incident the previous day. He was released pending court.

• David A. Scofield, Jr., 24, Brodhead, was arrested on charges of driving with a revoked license, driving without vehicle insurance and failure to obey a lawful order at 2:22 a.m. Monday, June 10, in the 2300 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• Joseph A. Brandon, 33, Brodhead, was arrested on charges of driving with a revoked license and resisting/obstructing an officer and on four felony warrants issued by the Department of Corrections and Rock County Circuit Court at 7:36 a.m. Monday, June 10, in the 300 block of 1st Street.

• Cassie S. Mann, 20, Freeport, Dustin R. Foster, 19, Albany, and a 17-year-old Juda male were arrested on charges of underage drinking in the N3800 block of Park Road at 7:31 p.m. Tuesday, June 11. All were released pending court.

• A 17-year-old Brodhead female was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated, violating her graduated driving license restrictions, failure to yield at a stop sign, obstructing an officer, underage possession and consumption of alcohol and criminal disorderly conduct, following a traffic stop in the 800 block of East 9th Avenue at 2:09 a.m. Friday, June 14. During the arrest, Courtney A. Moisan, 19, Lancaster, was cited for underage drinking.

• Timothy A. Grinnell, 28, Brodhead, was cited Tuesday, June 11, for domestic disorderly conduct stemming from an incident June 2.

• Jon E. Payne, 45, Brodhead, of Payne's Pub, was cited Tuesday, June 11, for a violation of the bar's closing hours, stemming from an incident April 30.

Monroe Police

MONROE - Joshua C. Broge, 24, South Wayne, was arrested on a third-offense charge of driving while intoxicated on 17th Street at Wisconsin 69 at 12:25 a.m. Friday, June 14. He was also charged with two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping, driving with a revoked license and cited for driving without vehicle insurance, non-registration of an auto and display of an unauthorized license plate. He was taken into custody on a probation hold from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections and jailed pending court.

• Michael D. Gunday, 25, Monroe, was arrested in the 500 block of 26th Avenue at 7:34 p.m. Saturday, June 15, on a warrant issued by the Albany Police Department for failure to pay fines. He was released after posting cash bond.

On Friday, June 14:

• A dog owner in the 1400 block of 19th Street was warned after police responded to a complaint at 6:07 a.m. that he leaves the window open and the dog barks and barks.

• A caller at 7:41 a.m. reported seeing a small dog walking by itself in the area of 7th Avenue and 30th Street. A responding officer did not locate the dog.

• A pair of prescription glasses were reported lost at 10:25 a.m. If found, drop off at the police station.

• A vet in Orangeville called at 10:43 a.m. to report that a dog belonging to a Monroe couple has been at the vet since May and the couple hasn't picked it up or paid for its treatment. Police advised the vet this is a civil case, not criminal, then called the couple to ask what's going on. In the course of the conversation, the girlfriend alleged her boyfriend had threatened her days earlier by stretching his thumb and index finger into a "pistol" shape, pointing at his head and telling her, "Next time it's going to be you." Later the same day at 3:04 p.m., police again had contact with the couple when they were found arguing loudly over child custody issues in Recreation Park.

• An officer on patrol at 12:55 p.m. in the 900 block of 11th Street noticed an above-ground pool higher than 32 inches that didn't have the required fence around it. A warning notice was issued to the property owner.

• At 1:07 p.m., a person in the 800 block of 30th Street reported getting repeated verbally abusive calls from an unknown person using a Washington, D.C. number.

• The owner of a building in the 800 block of 15th Avenue was warned for putting up unauthorized no-parking signs on city property along the street. He told police he doesn't like the city signs and had replaced them with his own. He was made to take them down.

• A gas drive-off was reported at 4:08 p.m. at the Monroe Northsider, 180 N. 18th Ave.

• A caller at 5:21 p.m. complained of a loud car stereo at 16th Street and 28th Avenue. The vehicle was located and the driver warned.

• A gas drive-off was reported at 6:28 p.m. at Brennan's BP, 701 8th St.

• Police were called to the 300 block of 4th Street at 7:53 p.m. for a dispute between two women over library materials.

• An iPod was reported lost near the fairgrounds at 10:15 p.m.

• Two dogs, a brown mutt and a brown and white Pekingese, were reported missing in the evening from unspecified locations.

On Saturday, June 15:

• Two boys, ages 11 and 14, were found walking in the 1300 block of 17th Street at 2:46 a.m., warned for violating curfew and turned over to a mother.

• A spurned boyfriend who won't take no for an answer was reported at 11:53 a.m. for driving past the ex-girlfriend's place of employment in the 1500 block of 6th Avenue. Police are collecting evidence for a pending harassment charge against him, to be referred to the District Attorney.

• An adult babysitter in the 1000 block of 17th Street reported at 2:07 p.m. that a 6-year-old neighbor boy threw a rock at the 9-year-old boy he was watching, hitting him in the neck. The babysitter reported the incident to police because the younger boy's parents were rude when confronted about their son's behavior. Police warned the boys to stay away from each other.

• At 6:12 p.m., a woman in the 1800 block of 7th Street reported her estranged husband for not dropping off their kids at 6 p.m. as planned. Police referred her to family court.

• A woman came to the police station at 11:26 p.m. to report her ex-boyfriend for following her. Police located him and warned him to stop. While warning the ex-boyfriend, the officer noticed the ex-girlfriend drive past four times. She was warned to stop, too.

On Sunday, June 16:

• A woman came to the police station at 12:35 a.m. to report she's getting continual calls and texts from a male acquaintance. He was warned to stop.

• A coonhound named Dixie was reported missing at 10:35 a.m. from the 2500 block of 10th Street.

• A caller at 8:29 p.m. complained of a car with a loud stereo by East School Park. The vehicle was located and the driver warned.

New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Chad Allen Schneider, 41, New Glarus, was arrested on a felony charge of domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct (repeat offender) and on a Class A misdemeanor charge of battery after police responded to a disturbance at a residence at 5:33 p.m. Thursday, June 13. He was jailed. His signature bond is set at $5,000 with the conditions that he not drink or have contact with the alleged victim or her residence in the 300 block of Elmer Road. His preliminary hearing is July 16.

• Deaundrey D. Jones, 26, New Glarus, was cited for driving without a valid license on Wis. 69 at 6th Avenue at 1:54 p.m. Thursday, June 13.

• An intoxicated New Glarus woman, 47, was warned for disorderly conduct after officers responded to a report that she was acting erratically in the 300 block of Elmer Road at 8:57 p.m. Monday, June 10. The woman had been seen doing cartwheels in the road and running up to a vehicle. She went into the Elmer Road Apartments before officers arrived. Officers determined she was intoxicated but being cared for by a responsible person.

• Two German Shepherds were reported running loose in the 1100 block of 13th Avenue at 7:35 a.m. Monday, June 10. The dogs were not located.

• The burglary of a business in the village was reported at 8:43 a.m. Tuesday, June 11.

• A pocketknife valued at $19 was reported stolen from a gift shop downtown at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, June 11.

• A hit-and-run to a legally parked, unattended vehicle in the 100 block of 12th Avenue was reported at 4:50 p.m. Thursday, June 13.

• Police were requested at 5:57 p.m. Friday, June 14, to check the welfare of a dog in a vehicle with the windows rolled up. The owner was contacted, and the dog was fine.

• Police were requested at 6:44 p.m. Friday, June 14, to check the welfare of a dog and a child in a vehicle with the windows rolled up. The area was checked and the vehicle not located.

• Bystanders called in a complaint of three intoxicated Fitchburg men arguing on the front lawn of Swiss United Church of Christ, 18 5th Ave. The men left the area with a responsible person, so no further action was necessary.

• The theft of a bicycle was reported at 8:32 a.m. Sunday, June 16.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Darrin W. Demrow, 34, Brodhead, was cited for littering and his passenger Nicholas J. Roth, 33, Albany, was arrested on a warrant, after deputies and the Monroe Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle on fire in Sylvester Township at 4:41 p.m. Sunday, June 16. Demrow was driving a pickup truck when a cigarette flicked from the cab ignited a fire in the truck bed. The truck bed's burning contents, mostly trash, was kicked into a ditch in the W4700 block of Wis. 59. The pickup truck had left the area by the time firefighters arrived to put out the fire, but mail in amongst the trash led officers to Demrow's pickup, which was stopped in Monroe at 5:14 p.m. in the 1600 block of 11th Street. Roth reportedly lied to police about his identity and was charged with obstructing an officer and misdemeanor bail jumping before he was jailed on the warrant. His signature bond is set at $1,000.

• Kurt D. Durst, 50, rural New Glarus, was cited for unlawful use of a phone after deputies responded at 6:46 p.m. Friday, June 14, to a complaint of a harassing phone calls.

• Joseph H. Templeton, 35, Gresham, was cited for operating a motorcycle without a license after deputies responded to a two-motorcycle crash on Wis. 92 west of Legler Road in Exeter Township at 4:36 p.m. Sunday, June 16. Templeton was eastbound on a 1978 Harley Davidson when he collided with the rear end of an eastbound 2003 Yamaha motorcycle operated by Edward L. Narans, 42, Belleville. Both drivers lost control and skidded on the pavement. Templeton and his motorcycle skidded into the rear of a 2005 Kia sedan legally parked along the shoulder. He was ejected, sustained injuries and was taken to an area hospital by EMS. He was wearing eye protection but no helmet. Narans was partially ejected and sustained injuries, but declined treatment on scene. He was wearing a helmet and eye protection. Both motorcycles were moderately damaged. The Harley Davidson was towed. The Kia sedan sustained minor rear-end damage. The Belleville Fire Department, Belleville EMS and City of Madison Paramedics assisted.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Jay J. Saddler, 22, Green Bay, was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant and cited for driving with a suspended license after deputies responded to a complaint of an erratic driver on Wis. 81 in Elk Grove Township at 12:06 a.m. Friday, June 14. Darlington police assisted.

• Zackari L. Andrews, 22, Blanchardville, was arrested on a probation warrant after a deputy was dispatched to a report of a person not paying for a campsite on County Y in Wiota Township at 2:26 p.m. Saturday, June 15. Andrews was jailed.

• Allen J. Penewell, 19, Darlington, was arrested and jailed on a charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on County G in Willow Springs Township at 4:37 p.m. Sunday, June 16. He was also cited for underage drinking.

• Wanda L. Ziller, 71, Argyle, was cited for speeding on Wis. 81 in Lamont Township at 8:58 a.m. Friday, June 14.

• Whitney D.D.D. Butler, 26, Milwaukee, was cited for speeding on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg Township at 6:44 p.m. Friday, June 14.

• Karleena M. Blum, 29, Monroe, was cited for speeding and driving without vehicle insurance on Wis. 11 in Wayne Township at 7:59 p.m. Friday, June 14.

• Amber L. Montanye, 16, Shullsburg, was cited for failure to yield right-of-way at a stop sign after she and another person were injured in a two-vehicle accident on Wis. 11 in New Diggings Township at 10:38 p.m. Saturday, June 15. Montanye's 2002 Chrysler was extensively damaged when she hit a 2000 Mazda driven by Dan E. Boone, 62, Moline, Ill. Boone was taken by Hazel Green Ambulance to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Montanye was taken to a hospital by private vehicle for treatment of her injuries. Boone's Mazda was moderately damaged and towed. The Benton Fire Department and Benton First Response assisted at the scene.

• Nathaniel D. Allbee, 20, Benton, was cited for speeding on Wis. 80 in Grant County at 8:54 a.m. Saturday, June 16.

• A suspicious person was reported on Roller Coaster Road in Darlington Township at 2:10 p.m. Friday, June 14. The deputy located the person, who was a nature photographer.

• The theft of a book was reported in Calamine Township at 10:55 a.m. Saturday, June 15.

• A theft of movies on Sidney Street in Shullsburg was reported at 4:52 p.m. Saturday, June 15.

• Criminal damage to property was reported on County F in Darlington Township at 10:34 a.m. Sunday, June 16.
