Monroe Police

MONROE - Kyle S. Peotter, 17, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of bail jumping in the 1100 block of 19th Street at 6:48 p.m. Friday, July 6. He was jailed pending court.

- Shaun C. Newcomer, 29, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 7:42 p.m. Friday, July 6, as the result of a domestic abuse complaint in the 1000 block of 4th Avenue West. He posted the required bond and was released pending court.

- John P. Spangler, 48, Monroe, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and battery at 11:07 p.m. Friday, July 6, as the result of a domestic abuse complaint in the 1600 block of 12th Avenue. He was jailed pending court.

- Dustin D. Ethridge, 28, Monroe, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property in the 700 block of 10th Avenue Court at 3:41 a.m. Saturday, July 7. He was jailed pending court.

New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Phillip W. Vetterli, 32, New Glarus, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated (first offense) at 10:14 p.m. Friday, July 6, on 2nd Street north of County H. He was also cited for operating left of center and driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration.

- John E. Willborn III, 29, Madison, was cited for knowingly driving with a suspended license causing property damage after police responded at 5:42 p.m. Monday, July 2, to a two-vehicle crash on Wisconsin 69 at 6th Avenue.

- Ann M. Krieg, 39, Monticello, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance at 7:59 p.m. Monday, July 2, after police stopped her for an equipment violation on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.

- Anne B. Porter, 50, Hartland, was cited for speeding at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, in the 900 block of Wis. 69.

- Omar Abarca Ortiz, 38, Madison, was cited for driving without a valid license at 1:24 p.m. a.m. Friday, July 6, after police stopped him for an equipment violation on Industrial Drive and Wis. 69.

- Police were dispatched to assist the Dane County Sheriff's Department at 9:44 a.m. Friday, July 6, for a report of a male who was possibly suicidal and on foot within village limits. Police located him in the 400 block of Railroad Street. He was taken into custody without incident and turned over to Dane County deputies.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Justin J. Kampfer, 23, Monroe, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense) and domestic abuse-related criminal damage to property after deputies responded at 1:40 a.m. Friday, July 6, to a report of disorderly people and damage to a vehicle in the parking lot of Sir Buk's, W5222 County KK, Town of Monroe. According to deputies' investigation, Kampfer cut a tire on a parked vehicle in the lot, then fled the scene, lost control of the vehicle he was driving and crashed into a guard rail in the 1500 block of 31th Avenue in Monroe. He was also cited for driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration, failure to maintain control, hit-and-run to property adjacent to a highway and failure to notify police of an accident. He was jailed pending court or bond. He was uninjured in the accident. His vehicle was severely damaged and towed.

- Bradley D. Zweifel, 38, rural Belleville, was arrested on charges of domestic abuse-related battery and disorderly conduct after deputies were dispatched in response to a 911 call to a residence in the N7900 block of County CC in the Town of Exeter at 10:57 a.m. Saturday, July 7. Zweifel was jailed pending court.

- Preston P. McMahan, 36, Blue Mounds, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated (first offense) after a deputy stopped him for speeding on Wisconsin 69 at Old Madison Road in the Town of New Glarus at 8:47 p.m. Saturday, July 7. McMahan was also cited for speeding and driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration. He was released to a responsible party pending court.

- Anthony J. Sink, 16, Monroe, was cited for driving too fast for conditions, and he and a 15-year-old passenger was transported by Green County EMS for injuries sustained in a one-vehicle rollover crash at 5:35 p.m. Saturday, July 7, on Bethel Road just north of Patterson Road in the Town of Clarno. Sink was negotiating a curve when he drove over loose gravel and lost control. He overcorrected, entered the ditch and hit a culvert, causing the vehicle to overturn. The vehicle came to a rest on its wheels in the ditch. It was severely damaged and towed. The Monroe Fire Department assisted at the scene.
