DARLINGTON - On Monday:

• A deputy checked the welfare of an individual at 12:47 a.m. on West Union Street, Shullsburg.

• Deputies provided traffic control on County E, Darlington Township, at 1:22 a.m.

• A deputy was dispatched at 11:57 a.m. to assist Darlington police with a disturbance on Arthur Street, Darlington.

• A deputy responded to a 911 hang-up call at 2:51 p.m. on Center Drive, Elk Grove Township.

• A deputy took a report of a civil dispute on Stub Lane, Darlington Township, at 5:34 p.m.

• A deputy checked the welfare of an individual at 7:18 p.m. on County Y, Wiota Township.

• A deputy was dispatched at 8:49 p.m. to assist Iowa County Sheriff's deputies with a disturbance on East Baker Street, Village of Blanchardville.

• A deputy responded to a traffic complaint on Wisconsin 81, Darlington Township, at 10:51 p.m.



Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Alejandro Montano, 23, Darlington, was arrested at 10:54 p.m. Monday for possession of a schedule IV substance not prescribed to him, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and driving while intoxicated after K-9 unit Kilo alerted to the car during a traffic stop on Wis. 81. Montano was also cited for driving without a valid driver's license and driving left of center. He was jailed pending court.

On Sunday:

• Alan Liphart, 30, Darlington, was arrested at 7:51 p.m. for hit-and-run and a probation and parole hold following a traffic stop on Ravine Street. Liphart was alos cited for failure to yield right-of-way at a stop sign.

• Juan Arizmendi, 21, Darlington, was cited for disorderly conduct following an incident that occurred in the 300 block of Main Street.
