Monroe Police

MONROE - Steven L. Moon, 50, Monroe, was arrested at 4:51 p.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of 9th Street on a warrant issued by the Green County Sheriff's Department. Moon was jailed pending court.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Wednesday:

• A deputy responded to a complaint of dogs running at large at 6:25 a.m. on Galena Street, Benton.

• A deputy responded at 10:25 a.m. to a complaint of dogs running at large on South Warrant Street, South Wayne.

• A deputy responded to a complaint of suspicious activity on Noble Street, Gratiot, at 12:45 p.m.

• Between 6:07 and 9:47 p.m., several deputies participated in a traffic enforcement grant and issued six individual speeding citations, three no proof of insurance citations, two driving after suspension citations, one failure to obey a stop sign citation and one seatbelt violation citation. There were no arrests made, and all subjects were released pending court.

• A deputy took a report of criminal damage to a fence and a cornfield at 6:24 p.m. on a property off of Fritzges Road, Wayne Township.
