DARLINGTON - On Tuesday, July 9:
Bradley D. Thurow, 32, Monticello, was cited for speeding at 3:10 p.m. on Wis. 81 in Lamont Township.
Criminal damage to property was reported at 9:21 a.m. on River Road in Argyle Township.
Harassment was reported at 9:21 a.m. on Railroad Avenue in Benton.
Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at 11:57 p.m. on North Street in Argyle. The incident remains under investigation.
Monroe Police
MONROE - A 10-year-old Monroe boy was taken into custody and placed in detention in a Rock County juvenile facility after police were called to Recreation Park at 8:27 p.m. Tuesday, July 9. It was reported he pulled out and brandished a knife during a dispute with other juveniles in the park.
Police were called at 11:58 p.m. Sunday, July 7, to a domestic dispute between sisters, ages 18 and 23, in the 2200 block of 11th Street. They were separated for the night.
On Monday, July 8:
A caller at 1:25 p.m. complained about prairie grass and weeds in a lot owned by Monroe Clinic at 22nd Avenue and 4th Street. It is not the first time the complainant has called about the lot, and the Clinic responded by mowing the grass. The complainant was still not happy with the quality of the landscaping, so police notified the Streets and Sanitation Department to look into the issue.
A red bicycle with 16-inch wheels was found in the 700 block of 17th Avenue and brought at 3:46 p.m. to the police station, where it can be claimed.
An officer was flagged down at 9:44 p.m. in the 1100 block of 16th Avenue about two women pushing and shoving each other. They were told to stay away from each other.
On Tuesday, July 9:
A property owner in the 1000 block of 11th Street was warned about having a large pool without a fence around it, after an officer on patrol noticed the code violation at 8:41 a.m.
Police responded at 11:40 a.m. to a 911 call traced to an apartment building in the 1000 block of 11th Street. Officers checked the building but did not locate the caller or any problems.
A caller at 1:57 p.m. reported she wants documents back from an area business who provided her tax preparation services, but the business isn't returning her phone calls. Police advised her this is a civil matter, not criminal.
An orange and white kitten was found at 8:31 p.m. in the 800 block of 22nd Avenue. It was taken to the Green County Humane Society.
