MONROE - Trevor R. Frie, 21, Monroe, was arrested at 10:14 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, on charges of stealing a PlayStation Portable game device from an apartment in the 1700 block of 30th Avenue earlier this week and of possessing drug paraphernalia (an empty pill container). He was released pending court.
A 12-year-old is being cited for trespassing after repeated violations of a no-trespassing letter issued to the child by a trailer park in the 500 block of West 21st Street. The most recent violation was reported at 4:01 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26.
A person complained at 9:17 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, that the city wasn't maintaining a small plot of terrace between 1st Street and 2nd Street. City staff apparently believed erroneously that it belonged to the property owner, but told police it will now assume responsibility for maintaining the land.
A possible phone scam was reported at 9:46 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, when a resident in the 1700 block of 15th Street reported a call from someone claiming to be with the Publisher's Clearing House.
A resident in the 2100 block of 15th Avenue complained at 10:51 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, that a neighbor left appliances lying around the yard.
A resident in the 2500 block of 11th Street reported a concern to police at 11:36 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, that a tree in a neighbor's yard looked close to falling down.
A possible phone scam was reported at 3:17 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, when a resident in the 900 block of 12th Street reported a call from someone who claimed to be with a division of the federal government and asked for bank account numbers. The incident is under investigation.
Police warned a grandmother at 3:24 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, after a person reported that children under her care, ages 6, 8 and 9, were throwing snowballs at cars at Parkview Drive and 14th Avenue.

MONROE - Kevin K. King, 28, Blanchardville, was arrested at 9:54 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at the Green County Justice Center for a warrant issued by Grant County for failure to pay child support. He was jailed and later turned over to Grant County deputies.
Ryan C. Carolan, 27, Monroe, was cited for driving too fast for conditions and was transported by EMS to an area hospital for injuries at 6:56 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, following a one-vehicle crash in the N4900 block of Wisconsin 69 in the Town of Washington. Carolan lost control of the vehicle after passing another driver and slid across the road into a ditch. The vehicle overturned several times before coming to a rest. It was severely damaged and towed from the scene.

DARLINGTON - Daniel G. Leahy, 26, Shullsburg, was cited for an expired vehicle registration at 8:36 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, on Estey Street in Shullsburg.
Kate E. Quinn, 17, Gratiot, was cited on Wisconsin 11 in the Town of Wayne at 4:50 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, for speeding, having an expired vehicle registration and no vehicle insurance and driving with a suspended license.
Jacinto Lorenzano-Gutierrez, 37, Darlington, was arrested on a charge of driving with a revoked license at 6:35 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, after a deputy located a disabled vehicle on County XX in the Town of Belmont. Lorenzano-Gutierrez was released pending court.
Terry L. Bartels, 57, Belmont, was apprehended on a warrant issued by Lafayette County. He posted bond and was released.
A deputy responded to a report at 12:35 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, of three juveniles fighting on East Center Street in South Wayne. No one was arrested.
