Lafayette County Sheriff

• A deputy responded to a residence on Wayne Center Road in the Town of Wayne at 11:24 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, for a report of hunters that had scared livestock.

• Criminal damage to property was reported on Carr Factory Road in the Town of Benton at 11:40 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 30.

• A deputy investigated a telephone harassment complaint at a residence in Woodford at 2:32 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30.

• A deputy investigated a telephone harassment complaint coming from a residence on Hill Street in Blanchardville at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30.

• A complaint of coyote hunters trespassing on private property on Whiteside Road in the Town of Wiota was reported at 8:50 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31.

• A deputy responded to a residence on 1st Street in Argyle to assist a person with a civil property dispute at 2:26 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31.

• A deputy took a report of a civil dispute between two people over child custody issues at a location on South Judgement Street in Shullsburg at 8:43 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1.

• A theft of money was reported at a residence on Ridge Road in the Town of New Diggings at 2:29 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1.

• Loretta L. Washington, 48, Madison, was cited for speeding on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont at 7:18 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2.

• Kolton T. Greenwood, 19, Mineral Point, was cited for speeding on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont at 7:58 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2.

• A theft was reported at 6:10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, on North State Street in Argyle. The incident was forwarded to Argyle police for further investigation.

• Telephone harassment was reported at 2:12 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, on West Grove Street in South Wayne.



Monroe Police

MONROE - On Wednesday, Jan. 2:

• Property owners were warned to clear snow from sidewalks in the 800 and 900 block of 8th Street. Police also took a complaint from a school crossing guard that snow removal was needed in the 500 block of 10th Avenue.

• An ID bracelet was reported lost at 11:53 a.m., possibly at or near Baumgartner's, 1023 16th Ave. If found, call dispatch at (608) 329-2400 or drop it off at the station.

• Police responded at 2:47 p.m. to a shoplifting complaint that a 19-year-old woman stole pet supplies from Walmart, 300 6th Ave. W. The store chose not to press charges.

• A woman in the 1300 block of 16th Avenue reported at 4:17 p.m. that her neighbor leaves his pitbull outside and it barks constantly. Police warned the dog owner to keep the animal quiet.

• A caller at 4:41 p.m. expressed concern for the welfare of a dog left outside a residence in the 500 block of West 21st Street. Police checked on the animal and it seemed fine. The owner could not be located.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Michael Fricks, 23, Monroe, was arrested and jailed on multiple charges after deputies were called twice in recent days to a dispute over a vehicle at a residence in the N2300 block of Bethel Road in the Town of Monroe. At 4:52 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, deputies responded to a report that Fricks came to the residence, caused a disturbance and hit a man in the face. Fricks left the scene before deputies arrived. Deputies were called to the residence at 7:44 a.m. the next morning for a report that Fricks was again at the residence and in another physical altercation with the same man. Fricks allegedly broke into a locked shed on the property and tried to tow out an automobile using an ATV that did not belong to him, then got stuck in the snow. Fricks faces three counts of disorderly conduct, one count of battery, one count of attempted battery, two counts of operating a vehicle without the owner's consent and one count of entry into a locked building.

• Connie R. Anderson, 56, Monticello, was cited for failure to yield right-of-way from a parking spot after deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash in the N6700 block of County D in the Town of Mount Pleasant at 8:27 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2. Anderson was pulling out from a driveway when she collided with a vehicle driven by Philip J. Marshall, 31, Menasha. No injuries were reported. Marshall's vehicle sustained minor damage and was towed. Anderson's vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.
