Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - William H. Anker, 48, Rockford, Ill., was arrested in the 1700 block of 1st Center Avenue at 11:47 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, on an active warrant issued by the Wisconsin State Police. He was released on a cash bond with a court date.

- Andrew S. Kjelland, 25, Brodhead, was cited Tuesday, Dec. 25, for disorderly conduct stemming from an incident on Sept. 17.

- David J. Davenport, 42, Brodhead, was cited Tuesday, Dec. 25, for disorderly conduct stemming from an incident on June 14.



Monroe Police

MONROE - Brittany A. Hodapp, 22, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after police responded to a call from a neighbor at 2:32 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, reporting a woman yelling outside at the trailer park in the 700 block of 17th Street. When officers arrived, a 41-year-old resident reported he was trying to get the intoxicated Hodapp to leave his home when she slapped him and started screaming at him. She was jailed pending court.

- Megan A. Whitetaker, 22, Monroe, was cited for driving without a valid license and failing to obey a sign/signal after police responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 8th Street and Wisconsin 69 at about 4:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28. Whitetaker struck a vehicle driven by Christine R.L. Pieper, 47, Blanchardville. One person was injured and transported by Green County EMS. Both vehicles were severely damaged and towed.

- Patrick J. Bergum, 17, Monroe, Cody M. Suiter, 18, Brodhead, and a 15-year-old boy from Juda were cited at 8:27 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, for stealing about $950 in electronics from Walmart, 300 6th Ave. W., including a video game controller, digital camcorder and a cellphone charger.

- A cleaning crew reported a burglary at Papa Don's Horseshoe Saloon at 6:29 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, after discovering evidence of a break-in and cash missing from the bar.

- A resident in the 2200 block of 6th Avenue reported at 1:57 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, that her "Christmas kitten" disappeared out the door when she let out the dog. The kitten is light orange and has a blue collar.

- A dogsitter in the 2200 block of 16th Street called at 3:03 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, to report the dog ran away. It is a white Australian shepherd named "Rocko."

- Officers stood by to keep the peace while a soon-to-be ex-wife removed property from her and her husband's home in the 2200 block of 5th Avenue at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28.

- At 8:38 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, officers observed a car drive up at a high rate of speed to the ER at Monroe Clinic, 515 22nd Ave., and a man get out and run into the ER holding a child. When police investigated, they found the man punching walls and slamming doors because he was angry with the doctor who treated the child a few days earlier. He was warned to be calm.

- An employee at Dollar General, 639 4th Ave., reported the theft of an air mattress and purse from the store at 4:38 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29. The shoplifting occurred the day before.

- After family members reported a dispute at 11:59 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, police stood by to keep the peace while a man removed his belongings from his family's home in the 1400 block of 11th Avenue.

- A resident in the 2200 block of 7th Street reported at 3:35 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, that a pair of earrings went missing from her home in September. Police are investigating a suspect.

- Inadequately shoveled or unsalted sidewalks were reported to police over the weekend in the 600 block of Sunrise Court, 1200 block of 9th Street, 1500 block of 6th Street, 500 block of 14th Avenue and 1200 block of 9th Street.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Randall S. Zuber, 34, Monticello, was taken into custody at a residence on East Lake Avenue in Monticello at 9:29 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, on a warrant issued by the Department of Corrections. He was booked into the jail.
