Monroe Police

MONROE - On Sunday:

• Ryan A. Johnson, 23, South Wayne, was arrested at 2:12 a.m. for driving while intoxicated, first offense, after police stopped his vehicle on 17th Street and 1st Street. Johnson was released pending court.

• Reginald T. Cox, 37, Monroe, was arrested at 2:45 a.m. for bail jumping following police contact in the 1300 block of 17th Street. Cox was jailed pending court. Online court records show Cox was out on bond for charges of domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct and battery. Additional conditions of his bond were to not drink or have any contact with the alleged victim in that case.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Sherwood V. Strommen, 68, Monroe, was arrested at 1:11 p.m. Thursday for DWI, first offense, after deputies and Monroe police were called to a vehicle in the ditch on County DR and North 29th Avenue, Town of Monroe. Strommen was released to a responsible party pending court.

On Friday:

• Deputies are investigating a property damage complaint of two mailboxes and an arrow sign likely damaged by a vehicle in the W8500 block of County B, Town of Cadiz. A suspect vehicle, possibly a Hyundai, was traveling on County B and lost control hitting the mailboxes and the sign. The vehicle would have minor front-end damage. The sheriff's department is seeking any information into the complaint and can be contacted through the sheriff's office or Crimestoppers by visiting greensheriff.com and clicking on the Crimestoppers link.

• Jason I. Kestler, 35, Brooklyn, was taken into custody at 3:54 p.m. on a probation violation at the probation and parole office at the Green County Justice Center, Monroe. Kestler was jailed pending court.

On Saturday:

• Ricky T. Olson, 19, New Glarus, was cited at 12:39 a.m. for driving while suspended, fifth offense, in the N7500 block of Wis. 69, Town of New Glarus. Olson was released pending court.

• Timothy J. Huffman, 26, Juda, was cited at 10:12 a.m. for driving while revoked in the W1200 block of County F, Town of Decatur. Huffman was released pending court.

• Fernando Bello Bautista, 25, Madison, was cited at 8:31 p.m. for driving while suspended, ninth offense, and speeding in the N7000 block of Wisconsin 104, Town of Albany. Bautista was released pending court.

• Colin J. Dragone, 25, Brooklyn, was arrested at 7:06 p.m. Sunday on a warrant for failure to appear for a court appearance on a criminal traffic charge. Dragone was arrested at a residence in the Town of Brooklyn, and was jailed pending court.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• A deputy assisted a motorist who was stranded on the roadway at 2:55 a.m. on County KK, Gratiot Township.

• A deputy responded at 1:30 p.m. to a report of trespassing on Glenville Road, Shullsburg Township.

• Elizabeth S. Hammer, 29, Cuba City, was arrested at 8:53 p.m. on Wis. 11, New Diggings Township, on a Lafayette County warrant. Hammer posted bond and was released.

On Saturday:

• A deputy responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on Maple Street, Village of Blanchardville, at 3:50 p.m. An Iowa County deputy assisted at the scene.

• Jerry R. Davis, 41, South Wayne, was arrested at 8:21 p.m. on West Center Street, Village of South Wayne, on a probation warrant. Davis was jailed pending court.

• Deputies and Shullsburg police responded at 11:30 p.m. to a report of disorderly conduct on County I, Town of Leadmine.

On Sunday:

• A deputy is investigating a battery incident that occurred on North Warren Street, Village of South Wayne, at 6:50 p.m.

• A deputy and a Green County deputy responded at 7:55 p.m. to a report of a domestic disturbance on Maple Street, Village of Blanchardville.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Police received a report of a possible scam in the village at 8:33 a.m. Jan. 6. The citizen received a phone call from a subject claiming to be with the Internal Revenue Service who told them they owed taxes. These calls are determined to be scams.

On Thursday:

• Police checked around the village in reference to a report of a missing man at 8:53 a.m., Allen Brown, who was reported missing Wednesday. The area was checked and the white 2013 Ford Explorer Brown was said to be driving was not found.

• Police assisted Green County deputies in searching the New Glarus Woods State Park for Allen Brown. Brown and the missing Ford Explorer were not found.
