Brodhead police

BRODHEAD - Disorderly conduct was reported at 3:34 p.m. Jan. 28 in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue. The matter remains under investigation.

• A 44-year-old Monticello man was referred to the Green County District Attorney's Office Jan. 29 for the report of issuance of worthless checks stemming from cases reported on Dec. 28, 2017 and Jan. 16, 2018.

• Damage to a vehicle outside of a residence was reported at 2:35 p.m. Jan. 30 in the 700 block of East 5th Avenue. The matter remains under investigation.

• A vehicle was found in violation of the junk vehicle ordinance at 7:20 p.m. Jan. 31 in the 1600 block of East 8th Avenue. This case is pending compliance with the ordinance.

On Feb. 1:

• An ordinance violation was reported at 8:05 a.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue, west alley. A vehicle was found in violation of the junk ordinance. This case is pending compliance with the ordinance.

• An ordinance violation was reported at 4:28 p.m. in the 600 block of East 6th Avenue. A vehicle was found in violation of the junk ordinance. This case is pending compliance with the ordinance.

On Feb. 2:

• A 25-year-old Madison man was cited for speeding at 8:53 a.m. in the 500 block of East 9th Avenue.

• A 73-year-old Brookfield man was cited for speeding at 11:27 a.m. in the 500 block of East 9th Avenue.



Albany Police

ALBANY - On Dec. 3:

• Lester R. Wise, 56, Albany, was cited for registration of a vehicle and liability insurance required.

• Jeff A. Calkins, 52, Albany, was cited for open burning within 25 feet of a structure.

• A juvenile was referred for disorderly conduct.

• Shawn R. Lounsbury, 24, Albany, was cited for operation after suspension on Jan. 30.

On Jan. 31:

• Derrick P. Nipple, 29, Belleville, was cited for liability insurance.

• A juvenile was referred for disorderly conduct.

• Shawn R. Lounsbury, 24, Albany, was cited for operation after suspension.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - On Jan. 28:

• Police received a traffic/driving complaint on a vehicle at 9:45 p.m. located in the 200 block of Industrial Drive. The matter is under investigation.

On Jan. 29:

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 12:32 p.m. in the 1400 block of Wis. 69. The matter was looked at and everything was fine. No further action was taken.

• Police conducted a vehicle unlock at 6:50 p.m. in the 600 block of Wis. 69.

• Police assisted the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office with making a death notification at a residence in the village.

On Jan. 30:

• Kyle F. Smith, 29, New Glarus, was cited for a dog running at large (2nd offense within 12 months) at 12:30 p.m. in the 700 block of 6th Avenue.

• A reckless driver was reported at 5:17 p.m. in the area of the school.

On Jan. 31:

• Police issued four parking citations for alternate side parking violations.

On Feb. 1:

• A trash can in the road was reported at 9:34 a.m. in the 100 block of 6th Avenue. The trash can was removed.

• Vehicles passing in the no passing zone near the school was reported at 3:51 p.m. The Police Department wants to remind everyone if traffic is backed up in the southbound lane you can not go around and pass everyone.

On Feb. 2:

• Trespassing was reported at 8:30 a.m. in regards to two juveniles on school grounds after hours without permission and in violation of a disciplinary action. The students received a citation for unauthorized presence on school grounds.

• Police found a broken window at 6:53 p.m. in the 1100 block while conducting a property check. At this time, police are waiting to hear from the owner if the damage is old or new.

• Police assisted Belleville Police with an alarm at 10:03 p.m. in the 1000 block of River Street. New Glarus was disregarded while en route. The business was found to be OK.

On Feb. 3:

• Police issued three parking citations for alternate side parking violations.

• Dogs in the village park were reported at 2:10 p.m. Contact was made with the owners and they were warned.

• Richard R. Parsons, 40, New Glarus, was arrested on an active warrant at 2:43 p.m. through Green County Circuit Court. Parsons was transported and booked at the Green County Jail.

• A disorderly disturbance was reported at 5:57 p.m. in the 400 block of 6th Avenue for a disturbance at a residence with a juvenile attempting to leave. The parties were separated, Green County Human Services was contacted and the juvenile went with the other parent for the remainder of the weekend.

• A barking dog was reported at 8:50 p.m. in the 1000 block of 7th Street. Contact was made with a family member and they advised they would address the issue.

• Police assisted Green County Sheriff with a traffic complaint at 11:31 p.m. southbound on Wis. 69. The vehicle was located and no violations were observed to initiate a traffic stop.

On Feb. 4:

• Police issued two alternate parking citations.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff with a vehicle in the ditch at 11:14 a.m. in teh W5000 block of County W.

• Jeffrey M. Jalinski, 33, Janesville, was cited for non-registration of automobile at 7:36 p.m. on 6th Avenue and 7th Street.

• Wyatt A. Raymond, 28, Blanchardville, was cited for operating while suspended at 7:57 p.m. on Wis. 69 at County W.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Feb. 4:

• Cheryl M. Bowers, 53, Belleville was arrested for misdemeanor bail jumping and resisting arrest at 5:20 p.m. at a residence in the W2600 block of Story Creek Circle in the Town of Exeter. Bowers was jailed pending bond or court. Belleville EMS also responded.
