DARLINGTON - Joseph Schafer, 28, Darlington, was arrested at 12:55 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20 for a warrant through probation and parole. Schafer was arrested at a business located on County K.

DARLINGTON - On Thursday, Feb. 20:

• A deputy responded to a residence at 4:13 a.m. on East Truth Street, Shullsburg, after a 911 call was received from the location. The call was determined to be the result of a phone malfunction, likely due to rain in the area.

• A deputy responded at 8:44 a.m. to Wisconsin 11, Wayne Township for a traffic complaint of a vehicle passing in a no-passing zone.

• A deputy responded at 9:30 am. to County I, White Oak Springs Township, for a complaint of livestock in the roadway.

• A deputy responded to a residential driveway at 2:48 p.m. on Wis. 23, Darlington Township for a suspicious vehicle complaint. The vehicle was located and found to be an occupied, disabled vehicle which had been backed into the driveway to avoid becoming a traffic hazard.

• A deputy responded to a residence at 4:28 p.m. on Main Street, Gratiot, to check the welfare of an individual whose cell phone dialed 911.

• A deputy responded to a vehicle in the ditch complaint at 6:08 p.m. on County B, Belmont Township. Belmont Police assisted with the case.

• Deputies responded to a residence at 7:00 p.m. on Carr Factory Road, Benton Township, for an out-of-control juvenile. The 13-year-old male was referred to juvenile intake for disorderly conduct. He was transported to a juvenile facility in Janesville.

• A deputy responded at 7:45 p.m. to Wis. 11, Shullsburg Township, for a traffic complaint of a semi-truck traveling eastbound with both its rear doors open.
