Monroe Police

MONROE - On Tuesday, Dec. 18:

- Police are investigating the alleged assault of a juvenile, reported at 1:18 p.m. by a Green County Human Services employee.

- A tenant in the 500 block of 17th Avenue reported at 3:02 p.m. that the landlord was entering the apartment without asking. Police advised the tenant this is a civil matter and should be taken to the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.

- A tenant reported a civil dispute with a former landlord over power billing at 3:10 p.m. at the police station.

- A man was warned to stay away from an apartment building he frequently visits in the 800 block of 6th Street after police were called to a dispute between the landlord, a tenant and the man at 10:43 p.m. The landlord previously tried to serve notice on the man by certified mail, but he refused to sign for it. Police told him he will be cited for trespassing if he shows up at the apartment building again.



On Wednesday, Dec. 19:

An officer found a silver ring in the 800 block of 22nd Avenue at 2:30 p.m.. To claim, stop by the police station or call dispatch at (608) 329-2400.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Wednesday, Dec. 19:

- Clark J. Mislivcek, 22, Belleville, was cited for driving with an expired license after deputies responded at 11:08 a.m. to a one-vehicle crash in the N9300 block of County O in the Town of New Glarus. Mislivcek slid off the road and into the ditch, causing moderate rear-end damage to the vehicle, which was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.

- Margarito Perez Vargas, 19, Monroe, was cited for driving without a valid license at 4:21 p.m. in the N5000 block of Wisconsin 59 in the Town of Albany.

- Lilia Defurmin Fernandez, 31, Monroe, was cited for driving without a valid license (second offense) and failure to maintain control of a vehicle after deputies responded at 9:20 p.m. to a one-vehicle crash in the W7500 block of Wis. 11 in the Town of Cadiz. Defurmin Fernandez lost control on the snow-covered road. The vehicle slid into the ditch and down a steep hill, hit two fences and a tree and then came to a rest. Defurmin Fernandez and a passenger, Leonardo Gonzalez Lopez, 24, Monroe, were taken by Monroe EMS to Monroe Clinic for treatment of injuries they sustained in the crash. The vehicle was towed from the scene. The Browntown Fire Department and Wisconsin State Patrol also responded to the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - A deputy responded to Jo Daviess County at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, to transport Jesse L. Donar, 28, Dubuque, Iowa, to the Lafayette County Jail on a valid Lafayette County warrant. Donar remains jailed.

- A deputy responded to a domestic dispute on County Y in the Town of Wiota at 11:35 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18. The incident remains under investigation.
