DARLINGTON - Rodimiro Gutierrez-Santacruz, 23, Darlington, was arrested at a Cornelia Street residence at about 2:35 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, on multiple warrants issued by Lafayette County.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Chad J. Nicks, 38, Northbrook, Ill., was arrested on a second-offense charge of driving while intoxicated at 1:20 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, on County K east of Montgomery Road in Jefferson Township. He was released pending court.

• Jason Patrick Downs, 40, Monroe, was cited for driving too fast for conditions and failure to notify police of an accident after deputies responded to a report at 6:07 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, of a vehicle in the ditch in the N3400 block of Balls Mill Road in Sylvester Township. Downs was later identified as the driver. He told deputies the crash happened around 3 a.m. that morning. He was northbound when he lost control on the icy road and spun into a tree. He was uninjured. The vehicle sustained moderate driver's side damage and was towed.

• Samuel R. Schutte, 29, Monroe, turned himself in at the sheriff's department at 11:23 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 28, on a warrant issued for a probation violation. He was jailed pending court.

• Michael E. Hoffman, 27, Monroe, was taken into custody at the probation/parole office at the Green County Justice Center at 10:53 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29, on a warrant issued by the Department of Corrections for a probation violation. He was jailed pending court.

• Edward R. Mclain, 48, Albany, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, battery, bail jumping and false imprisonment after deputies responded to a report of domestic abuse in the W700 block of Atkinson Road in Albany Township at 5:52 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Wednesday, Nov. 27:

• Trespassing was reported at 7 a.m. on Buncombe Road in Benton Township.

• Animal neglect was reported at 9:21 a.m. at a residence on Wis. 81 in Argyle Township.

• William S. McCabe, 48, Verona, was arrested on a second-offense charge of driving while intoxicated after a deputy responded at 8:48 p.m. to a traffic complaint on U.S. 151 in Kendall Township. He was also cited for having open intoxicants in the vehicle and operating left of center. He was jailed.
