Albany Police

ALBANY - Jason P. Briand, 32, Monroe, was arrested Thursday, March 28, on charges of driving while intoxicated (second offense), operating left of the center line, driving with a revoked license and failure to install his court-ordered ignition interlock device.

• Thomas S. Thompson, 27, Albany, was arrested Saturday, March 30, on a warrant issued by the Beloit Police Department for contempt of court. He was also cited for driving with a revoked license.

• Casey L. Mueller, 17, Albany, was cited for theft on Friday, March 22.

• Chad E. Crotty, 29, Oregon, was cited for driving with a revoked license on Monday, March 25.



Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - A 17-year-old Brodhead male was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license and a suspended registration in the 1700 block of East 3rd Avenue at 2:31 a.m. Sunday, March 24. He was released pending court.

• A 17-year-old Brodhead female was arrested on a charge of underage possession of alcohol on Monday, March 25, stemming from an incident two days earlier. She was released pending court.

• Randall Q. Cooley, 40, Dodgeville, was arrested on a fourth-offense charge of driving while intoxicated at 2:05 a.m. Tuesday, March 26. He was also arrested on a warrant issued by Dane County Circuit Court and cited for unsafe lane deviation and driving with a revoked license. He was jailed. He signed a $1,500 signature bond the next day in Green County Circuit Court. Conditions of his bond include not drinking or entering any establishment that sells primarily alcohol. He has a pre-trial conference scheduled for May 7. Cooley was convicted and sentenced to 30 days in jail for his third DWI offense in 2006 in Green County, according to court records.

• David A. Scofield, Jr., 24, Brodhead, was arrested three times within a week in Brodhead, each time on charges of driving with a revoked license, driving without vehicle insurance and failure to obey a lawful order. The first arrest was in the 1900 block of 1st Center Avenue at 9:29 p.m. Friday, March 22; the second arrest was in the 200 block of East 4th Avenue at 6:28 p.m. Wednesday, March 27; the third arrest was in the 500 block of 1st Center Avenue at 1:26 a.m. Friday, March 29. Each time he was released pending court.



Monroe Police

MONROE - Jacob D. Lincicum, 22, Monroe, was arrested on a second-offense charge of driving while intoxicated at 3:05 a.m. Sunday, March 31, in the 2000 block of 9th Avenue. He was released pending court.

• Jeremy R. Mena, 30, Rockford, was arrested on a felony charge of knowingly fleeing an officer after an officer tried to stop the vehicle Mena was driving at 3:55 p.m. Sunday, March 31, in the area of 10th Street and 17th Avenue. Mena continued driving, heading out of Monroe on 6th Street. As he passed the Green County Sheriff's Department, a deputy pulled out and arrested him. Mena was also taken into custody on a warrant issued by the Wisconsin State Patrol and cited for reckless driving and for failing three times to stop at a stop sign. He was jailed. His preliminary hearing is May 1.

• An egging of a house and vehicle in the 2000 block of Roosevelt Road was reported at 9:07 a.m. Friday, March 29. Profanities had also been written on the vehicle with a water-soluble substance.

• A resident in the 2100 block of 17th Avenue reported a loose black dog was outside barking at 11:02 a.m. Friday, March 29. The animal was gone by the time an officer arrived.

• A stray gray cat was found in the 2000 block of 11th Street at 12:46 p.m. Friday, March 29, and turned over to the Green County Humane Society.

• A woman in the 1700 block of 13th Street reported at 1:14 p.m. Friday, March 29, that a male coworker was texting her and she wanted him to stop. He wanted a relationship, and she didn't. Police contacted him and told him to stop contacting her. He said he would.

• A stray husky-type dog was found in the 1700 block of 16th Street at 3:41 p.m. Friday, March 29, and turned over to the Green County Humane Society.

• The owner of an apartment complex nearby Veolia, 127 6th St., reported a foul odor coming from the garbage transfer station. An officer determined the smell was coming from one of the nearby cheese factories and possibly the result of weekly machine maintenance.

• A canvas lunch bag with Tupperware inside was found in the area of 4th Avenue and 2nd Street and turned over to police at 5:39 p.m. Friday, March 29. To claim, call dispatch at 608-329-2400.

• A resident in an apartment building at 2221 1st St. called police at 6:45 p.m. Friday, March 29, to report a possible domestic dispute in a neighboring apartment. The neighbors told police they were just arguing and there was no problem.

• Vandalism was reported at 7:17 p.m. Friday, March 29, in the 200 block of West 21st Street. An estranged husband admitted to slashing tires on a vehicle belonging to a man he believed was having an affair with his wife. There were no arrests or citations. The involved parties were able to sort it out between themselves. Restitution will be paid for the slashed tires.

• Police were called to an argument between several roommates in the 1800 block of 10th Avenue at 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 29. The roommates collectively decided to tell one woman to move out.

• A resident in the 1700 block of 13th Street was warned for leaving multiple bags of trash on the terrace after police responded to a neighbor's complaint at 8:43 a.m. Saturday, March 30.

• A lost husky was reported at 3:22 p.m. Saturday, March 30, from a home in the 1700 block of 16th Street.

• Charges are pending against residents in an apartment complex in the 800 block of 6th Street for keeping a disorderly house, after a neighbor complained at 10:16 p.m. Saturday, March 30. The problem is "continual."

• Police were called to the 600 block of 17th Avenue at 2:05 a.m. Sunday, March 31, for an argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend whose relationship has soured. The boyfriend called police because she threw water at him and threatened to call police and say he hit her. He pre-empted her threat by calling himself to say he didn't hit her. No one was cited or arrested.

• A caller at 5:28 p.m. Sunday, March 31, reported finding a young dog, possibly a Pomeranian, in the 1200 block of 21st Avenue.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Andre Culberson, 49, Blanchardville, was arrested on a civil family warrant issued by the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department, after police stopped a vehicle for a registration violation on 6th Avenue at 5th Street at 6:18 p.m. Tuesday, March 26. He posted the bond and was released.

• William C. Prinkey, 25, Albany, was cited for speeding in the 1400 block of 2nd Street at 4:44 p.m. Monday, March 25.

n Theresa Lee, 52, New Glarus, was cited for speeding in the 1100 block of Wisconsin 69 at 12:37 p.m. Thursday, March 28.

• Justin M. Langfoss, 23, New Glarus, and Coulthurst T. Schmitt, 23, Madison, were cited for open intoxicants after police observed the men walking in the 100 block of 4th Avenue with open containers of alcohol at 2:54 a.m. Sunday, March 31.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Amanda K. Meighan, 20, Monroe, was arrested on a first-offense charge of driving while intoxicated after deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding on Wis. 69 north of Hill Lane in Monroe Township at 12:43 a.m. Saturday, March 30. Meighan was also cited for speeding and having open intoxicants in the vehicle. Several passengers were also cited. Taylor R. Grinnell, 18, Belleville, was cited for underage drinking (second offense). Mitchell R. Haug, 17, Monroe, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and underage drinking (first offense). Brenton C. Hodapp, 20, Monticello, was cited for underage drinking (first offense). All were released pending court. The Monroe K-9 team assisted.

• David L. Webb, 20, Monroe, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, obstructing and misdemeanor bail jumping after deputies were dispatched to a report of an altercation at a residence in the N2000 block of Alphorn Road in Clarno Township at 4:43 p.m. Sunday, March 31. He was jailed. His signature bond was set Monday, April 1, at $900 and his cash bond at $100, with the conditions that he have no contact with a woman or her place of employment. He has a pre-trial conference May 7.

• Travis J. Loeffelholz, 16, Fitchburg, was cited for failure to maintain control after deputies responded to a rollover crash with road blockage in the N8500 block of County D in Exeter Township at 10:10 p.m. Friday, March 29. Loeffelholz was northbound when he failed to negotiate a curve and veered into the ditch. The vehicle overturned once and came to a rest on its roof. It was severely damaged and towed. Both Loeffelholz and his passenger, Kendall N. Goecke, 16, New Glarus, reported no injuries. The Belleville Fire Department, Belleville EMS and Belleville police assisted.

• Daniel A. Scofield, 18, Brodhead, was cited for malicious destruction of property after deputies responded to the N5500 block of Advance Road in Clarno Township for a report of damage to a farm field at 3:53 p.m. Saturday, March 30. Deputies determined a vehicle driven by Scofield damaged the field and became stuck in the mud.

• Valentin Vargas, 37, Beloit, was cited for driving without a valid license (third offense) after deputies checked on a vehicle on Wis. 11 near Richland Road in Jefferson Township at 3:30 a.m. Sunday, March 31.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Austin J. Penniston, 32, Argyle, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence on South State Street in Argyle at 7:46 a.m. Friday, March 29. He later posted bond and was released pending court.

• Laramie D. Kraus, 49, Shullsburg, was arrested on a third-offense charge of driving while intoxicated after deputies responded to a report of an incident at a residence on Johnson Road in Shullsburg Township at 6:55 p.m. Friday, March 29. Shullsburg police assisted with locating Kraus on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg. Kraus is also charged with disorderly conduct and driving with a revoked license. He was released to a responsible person pending court.

• Lonnie D. Severson, 45, Argyle, and Janet L. Ihus, 51, Darlington, were arrested on charges of possessing a controlled substance during a traffic stop on Whiteside Road in Wiota Township at 12:56 a.m. Saturday, March 30. Ihus was later released pending a court appearance. Severson remains jailed on a Department of Corrections probation hold.

• Michael A. Cipriano, 49, Glen Ellyn, Ill., was cited for speeding on Wis. 11 in Gratiot Township at 1:40 p.m. Friday, March 29.

• Melanie K. Seier, 35, Dubuque, was cited for speeding on Wis. 11 in Gratiot Township at 2:13 p.m. Friday, March 29.

• Brandon D. Dallman, 20, Watertown, was cited for driving with a suspended license and without proof of vehicle insurance at 2:27 p.m. Friday, March 29, on Cub Hollow Road in Gratiot Township.

• Eric J. Farrey, 26, Shullsburg, was cited in Shullsburg at 4:10 p.m. Friday, March 29, for inattentive driving caused by texting.

• Jeremy L. Hefty, 30, Benton, was cited for driving with a suspended license on Main Street in Benton at 8:55 p.m. Friday, March 29.

• Lawrence D. Wedig, 64, Gratiot, was cited for following too closely after deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident on Wis. 81 in Darlington Township at 9:04 p.m. Friday, March 29. Wedig rearended a 2008 Chevrolet driven by Louanna E. Robelia, 20, Argyle. She had slowed for several deer that were crossing the road ahead of her. Her vehicle was moderately damaged. The 2013 Dodge truck Wedig was driving sustained minor damage. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

• Benjamin T. Parkinson, 18, Belmont, was cited for speeding and underage drinking at 9:06 a.m. Saturday, March 30, on Wis. 126 in Elk Grove Township.

• Khalifah H. Saahir, 35, Brown Deer, was cited for speeding at 10:11 a.m. Saturday, March 30, on U.S. 151 in Belmont Township.

• Alejandro Ovalle, 21, Fond du Lac was cited for speeding and a seatbelt violation at 11:04 a.m. Saturday, March 30, on U.S. 151 in Belmont Township.

• Djon Alsean Lax, 23, Dubuque, Iowa, was cited for speeding and driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 12:17 p.m. Saturday, March 30, on U.S. 151 in Belmont Township.

• Brittany L. Burnett, 24, Platteville, was cited for speeding and driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 2:57 p.m. Saturday, March 30, on Wis. 81 in Seymour Township.

• Connor E. Crotty, 16, Shullsburg, was cited for speeding at 10:51 p.m. Saturday, March 30, on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg Township.

• Vandalism was reported on County D in Lamont Township at 8 a.m. Friday, March 29. A vehicle parked in the driveway at the location had several windows broken out.

• A restraining order violation was reported at a residence on South Varnum Street in South Wayne at 9:50 a.m. Friday, March 29.

• A hit-and-run accident reported on Ingwell Road in Blanchard Township at 9:55 a.m. Friday, March 29, remains under investigation. A 1997 Dodge pickup truck was southbound when the driver failed to negotiate a curve, causing the vehicle to travel into the ditch and hit a tree. No driver was located. The truck was moderately damaged and towed.

• Vandalism was reported at 12:50 a.m. Saturday, March 30, on Shawnee Road in New Diggings Township. A parked vehicle and house had been damaged by paintballs.

• A deputy assisted Shullsburg police with investigating a disturbance at a residence on West High Street in Shullsburg at 7:39 p.m. Saturday, March 30.

• A deputy investigated a telephone harassment complaint at a residence on Sales Barn Road in Elk Grove Township at 10:38 p.m. Sunday, March 31.
