Monroe Police

MONROE - Nicholas M. Gowen, 24, Monroe, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, battery and bail jumping at 3:57 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, after officers responded to a report of domestic abuse at a residence in the 2700 block of 8th 1/2 Street. Gowen was unable to post bond and was jailed.

- Mitchell E. Boeck, 19, Monroe, was arrested and jailed on charges of bail jumping and underage possession and consumption of alcohol at 11:53 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, during a traffic stop in the 1000 block of 8th Street. He had a hearing in Green County Circuit Court Wednesday afternoon on two Class A misdemeanor charges of bail jumping. During the same traffic stop, Rory S. Privett, 18, Monroe, was cited for possession of marijuana and underage possession and consumption of alcohol. She was released.

- A car stereo valued at $400 was reported stolen out of a locked vehicle in the 2200 block of 5th Avenue at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 17. Scratches on the door indicate a break-in.

- A CD valued at $25 was reported stolen out of an unlocked storage compartment on a moped in the 2200 block of 1st Street at 3:19 p.m. Tuesday, April 17.

- Golf clubs, a golf bag and a GPS unit were reported stolen out of an unlocked vehicle in the 700 block of 19th Avenue at 6:57 p.m. Tuesday, April 17. The estimated total value of the stolen goods is $2,000.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Harley R. French, 18, South Wayne, was cited for disorderly conduct after deputies responded at 12:29 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, to a report of an out-of-control student at Black Hawk High School in South Wayne.

- A deputy took a complaint of a scrap metal theft from a location on Wisconsin 23 in the Town of Darlington at 10:34 a.m. Tuesday, April 17.
