Paul Kippel age 90 of Monroe, WI, formerly of Argyle, WI passed away Friday, July 8, 2011 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe. Paul was born near Woodford, WI to Rudolf and Leona (Moret) Kippel September 21, 1920. He attended 8 years of school at Pleasant Ridge School, which was near Yellowstone Lake. Paul graduated from Argyle High School in 1938. He lived in rural Argyle and Blanchardville areas until moving to Monroe. Paul worked at Oaktron Industries in Monroe. After his retirement he worked as a custodian for the State Bank of Argyle.
Paul is survived by his sister: Emma (Frank) Ernst of Monroe, WI; twelve nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Louis and Ben Kippel; and a sister: Josephine Mathys.
Paul was a member of St. Victor's Catholic Church in Monroe. He enjoyed watching professional baseball, playing pool and cards.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, July 13th, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church (213 N. Lafayette St., Argyle, WI 53504) with Rev. David Wanish officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Argyle. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 9:00 until time of services at the church. The Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle is serving the family.
