MADISON - Patricia A. (Shager) Soberg, age 79, of Madison, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at Meriter Hospital. She was born on Jan. 19, 1932, in Monroe, the daughter of John and Minnie (Sandley) Shager. She married Donald Soberg on Oct. 2, 1955, in Monroe. Pat graduated from Monroe High School. She worked at Rural Insurance in Madison for 30 years. Pat was Don's constant companion, traveling to all 48 continental states. She was very supportive while Don served in various capacities with the Zor Shrine and Scottish Rite Bodies. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and Daughters of the Nile. Pat was an avid reader, and Badgers and Packers fan. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Don of Madison. Funeral services will be held at Gunderson East Funeral Home, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, with the Rev. John Swanson presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.
