Neoma L. Stoflet, age 81 of Monroe, WI passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe. She was born January 19, 1936 in Rosebud, MO the daughter of Elmer and Louise (Liepke) Karstedt. Neoma grew up in Burlington, WI where she graduated from Burlington High School and later went on to receive her degree as an LPN from WCTI. She was united in marriage to Edward J. Stoflet on May 12, 1956 in Burlington. Following her marriage, Neoma worked as an LPN at Burlington Memorial Hospital for 30 years until her retirement in 1998. In 1958, Neoma and Edward moved to Mukwonago, WI where they lived until 1981 when they moved to Elkhorn, WI. In 2014, Neoma moved to Monroe.
Neoma is survived by her children: Rob (Tammy Balsiger) Stoflet of Darlington, WI and Patricia (Richard) Siemers of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; two grandchildren: Brandon and Kelsey Stoflet; one brother: Donald (Judy) Karstedt of Hayden, ID; and one sister: Dorothy (Jack) Wolf of Sebastian, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Edward in 2011; and two brothers: Jerome and Kenneth Karstedt.
Neoma was a member of Monroe Bible Church and its Bible study group. She loved to play Euchre with her card club friends. Neoma was an active resident at Twining Valley Retirement Community in Monroe and loved to spend her winters in Arizona with her family and friends.
