EDGERTON - Mildred Marie Blum, age 84, of Edgerton, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at her home. She was born on July 15, 1927 in Monroe, WI, the daughter of George and Ella (Kundert) Hartwig. She married Herman H. Blum on August 7, 1946 in Wisconsin Dells.

Millie had worked as a nurses assistant at the Monroe Clinic and Mercy East Clinic, Janesville. She loved living on the Rock River since 1968. She enjoyed bowling, music, dancing, traveling, and especially her grandkids.

She is survived by her husband Herman; two daughters, Sandra (Dan Meyer) Erickson, River Falls, WI, Kathy (Gary) Hoesly, Elizabeth, AR; a son, Terry (Betty) Blum, Brodhead; three brothers, Harold Hartwig, Leland (Arlene) Hartwig, William (Marilyn) Hartwig, all of Monroe; a sister-in-law, Betty Hartwig, also of Monroe; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and six great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Robert, and a great-grandson Deriek Gruber.
