BRODHEAD - Michael "Mike" P. Fasana, 87, passed away March 16, 2008 at Monroe Clinic Hospital. Mike was born on December 8, 1920 in Hancock, MI. He was raised in Lockport, IL, and attended Lockport Township High School where he was an active band member. After graduation, he married Geraldine Allen. That marriage ended 10 years later. Mike served in the US Air Force as a bomber pilot in England and later as an airplane mechanic during WW II and the Korean War. After discharge, he returned to Lockport to raise his daughter. Mike held many jobs throughout his life and in 1969 he moved to Fairchild, WI where he operated a tavern with his uncle, James Fasana, for several years. He retired from Nelson Muffler, Neilsville, WI in 1982. In 1989 he moved to Osseo, WI and in 1993 he moved to southern Wisconsin to be closer to his daughter. He spent the last several years at the Collinwood Assisted Living Home, Brodhead, WI.

Mike was a member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He was a past member of the Joliet, IL, Hardwood Post #5 American Legion Marching Band and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and motorcycles. He had a great sense of humor and a deep love for all animals, especially dogs, cats, and horses.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Jolene (Mike) Reavis, Brodhead; two grandsons, Jeffrey (Roxanne) Paul and James Paul and two great-granddaughters, Emily Paul and Margaret Paul, all of Monroe. He was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa (Avenatti) Fasana, in 1983; his father, Mike Fasana, Sr., in 1984; his uncle, James Fasana, in 1982; and a son-in-law, Jerome Paul, in 1989.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2008 at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI, with Father Michael Moon officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead, WI. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2008 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and from 12:30 p.m. Thursday until time of services at the funeral home.
