Mary Lynn Boss, 61, of Albany, died on January 30, 2009 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. She was born on September 19, 1947 in Monroe, to Robert and Gladys (Disch) Gempler. She graduated from Albany High School, Class of 1965.

On January 21, 1967 she was united in marriage to Wilbur Boss in Monroe, Wisconsin.

Mrs. Boss worked at Oaktron, taught pre-school, as a waitress in Albany, as a Girl Scout leader, and she worked for many years at the Albany Herald newspaper. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved rummage sales, bowling, playing cards and she greatly enjoyed decorating for the different holidays.

She is survived by her husband, Wilbur, Albany; two daughters, Tina (Ron) Granzow, Albany, and Kori (John) Hawkins, Albany; five grandchildren: Shando (Tracy) Boss, Lacey Boss, Brent Granzow, Miranda Granzow and Kayla Hawkins, all of Albany; three great-grandchildren; her mother, Gladys Gempler, Albany; her siblings: Norman (Penny) Gempler, Texas, Peggy (Rick) Seifert, Ft. Collins, Colo., Sally (Eric) Gempler, Albany, and Jane Gempler, Albany. Also, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and nephew, Tommy Richards.

Memorial service for Mary Boss will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2009 at the Sharer-Bifulk Funeral Home, Albany. The Sharer-Bifulk Funeral Home is very honored to serve the Boss family. Online condolences may be sent to: rukfuneralhome.com.
