Mary Lu Bustle, age 83 of Monroe, died peacefully on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the Monroe Manor. Mary was born April 5, 1930 in Monroe, the daughter of William and Florence (Scheidegger) Schillinger. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1948 and attended Milton College. She was united in marriage to Thomas G. Bustle on December 27, 1949 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Brodhead. Tom, owner of Tom's Silo Service, preceded her in death on March 11, 1973. Mary owned and operated Monroe Trailer Court for many years and was employed by New Spirit Fashions. She was a member of St. Victor Catholic Church.

She is survived by four children, Catherine (Lee) Nyman of Belvidere, IL, John (Marilyn) Bustle of Geneseo, IL, Andrea (Jerry) Galusha of Rhododendron, OR, and Nicholas (Xenia) Bustle of Miami, FL; 13 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and her brother, Jacob Schillinger of New Glarus. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Karl Schillinger.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014, at 12:00 p.m., at St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor Catholic Church with Father Michael Klarer, Celebrant. Inurnment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 12:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested in Mary's name to St. Victor Catholic Church.
