Marjorie Ruth Bliss, age 82 of Monroe, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at her home. The former Marjorie Petoskey, daughter of the late Robert and Irene (Kloha) Petoskey was born February 20,1934 in Bay City, Michigan. On August 10, 1957 she married Thomas H. Bliss in Bay City, Michigan. He preceded her in death on August 19, 2014. She lived in Bay City, Michigan; Midland, Michigan; Joliet, Illinois; and Mount Prospect, Illinois prior to moving to Monroe. She worked in Medical Records for many years. She was a member of St. Victor's Catholic Church and was a volunteer at Monroe Clinic Hospital and Behring Senior Center.

She was preceded in death by 1 sister Lois Van Sumeren.

She is survived by 3 children Michelle L. (Don) Luther of Lafayette, Minnesota; Cheryl A. (Lyle) Kraus of Monroe; Mark T. Bliss of Belleville; 5 grandchildren Ashlee A. Kraus of Phoenix, Ariz; Nicholas L. Krause of Monroe; Amanda J. Bliss of Belleville; Mitchell D. Bliss of New Glarus, Wisc.; Alex T. Bliss of Milwaukee, Wisc.; Special niece Susie Van Sumeren & nephew Scott Van Sumeren and a special aunt Dorothy Bergeron of Midland, Michigan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said for the repose of her soul at 11 A.M. on Friday at St. Victor's Catholic Church. Fr. Larry Bakke officiating.
