She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who served her family unselfishly with kindness and grace. She had an incredible surviving spirit and courageously fought cancer for over 16 years. Marion loved farming with her husband along with cooking, crocheting, sewing, baking, and gardening. Her grandchildren's activities were always tops on her list. She enjoyed attending the various Baraboo cross country and track and field events for many years, and in her final months Marion became an avid fan of Baraboo Girls Thunderbird Basketball. She also was a Wisconsin Badger and Green Bay Packer fan.

She is survived by five children, Daniel (Debra Zillmer, M.D.) Leaver of Caledonia, MN, Richard (Kristine) Leaver of Beaver Dam, Laura Leaver of Monroe, Thomas (Dawn) Leaver, and Patricia (Larry) Judge, all of Baraboo; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lillian Gelbach of Beloit; a sister-in-law, Daria Schwarzenberger of Monroe; brother-in-law, Richard Bushmeyer of Rockford, IL, and a special friend, Ruth Zimmick of Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence, on April 21, 2010; a brother, Joseph Schwarzenberger; and two sisters, Regina Zwald and Josephine Babler.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at 9:30 a.m., at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, with Pastor Harold Zimmick Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe, with a luncheon to follow at St. Johns UCC. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A memorial fund will be established in Marion's name.
