DODGEVILLE - Margo Rae Anderson, age 54, of Dodgeville, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was born on August 9, 1956 in Madison, a daughter of Wayne and Donna (Everson) Hendrickson. She lived in Madison for 7 years and after the passing of her father, Donna moved the family to Argyle. She was a confirmed member of Yellowstone Lutheran Church in Argyle. While at Argyle High School, her favorite subject was art and her teacher, Mrs. Arnot, always encouraged her to pursue her artistic abilities.
After high school, Margo worked for Swiss Colony in Monroe and Argyle Industries. She then worked two years near San Francisco in the television and radio industry and then moved to Arizona, where she worked as an artist, painting souvenir dinner bells and other household decorative items.
She returned to Wisconsin in 1983 and started working for Lands End in Dodgeville as a returns specialist, where she met many new friends and enjoyed her fellow workers.
In 1993, she met her future husband, Charlie Anderson at his insurance office, after being introduced by Charlie's close friend, Keith Bowers. He proposed to her on the highest road in Colorado in the Rocky Mountains National Park near Alpine Center in July, 1995. They were married on February 14, 1996 on a charted yacht on the Gulf of Mexico in Florida, accompanied by her mother and brother. And to her, he has been, "My Charlie" ever since. This began a life of travel to Florida every winter since and together they enjoyed going to Vegas for Badger Football games, Door County every October, the Bahamas and many weekend trips near by.
Margo designed their new home in Dodgeville, which was always well kept. She enjoyed camping at Blackhawk Lake and fishing with her sister, Lisa and her husband. She was known for her little pranks and special laugh that follow each prank. She will be missed dearly by her two special cats, Claude and Buster.
Margo so enjoyed every holiday and especially Christmas, when she could decorate the house and tree, that Charlie had set up by December 7 every year. She would never leave the house without making sure she was looking her best.
Margo is survived by her husband of 14 years, Charles H.
